I bought this because of the light, and now find it is OK without it. Every other camera I tried needed additional lighting, but this works fine with reflection from the ceiling light, which I prefer to the camera's own light. I also like that, when mounted on top of the laptop screen, the camera takes in half body when using the keyboard, much preferable to the laptop's camera which gave a close-up of my face.

Would not recommend this webcam for business or personal use. If you need it for video conferencing - it is not working with most free streaming apps unless you are happy to show your bedroom to the world. You will have to pay extra 44USD for a lifetime ChromaCam license for just customising your background!!! And even after that ChromaCam will give you fuzzy ghostly images. Nope, no good for me.

The mic is good, the auto focus is good, but the white balance if locked to florescence, so unless you have a bright white light shining then you get a purple hue. The ring light does nothing but blind you.Cant say its worth the £50+ glad i bought it discounted.

Much better than the Logitech I had. Like the lighting capability. It sure has improved the way I look to others. But that's probably not a good thing! The Logitech was OK but the sound was not so good. This new one integrated seemlessly without any problems with my Linux set-up. Good stuff.

This looks higher quality than in the pictures. I'm pleased with the webcam quality.Also the ring light is very bright on the highest setting, it works well.Pleased with this purchase.I got it on offer for £30.
