Thankful to Have Found It!
I am not a traditional solo worker, but like so many others, I was thrust into the world of teleworking with the onset of the pandemic. On top of that, I had also just made a career change 6 months prior, so found myself isolated and completely unprepared on how to healthfully work from home.I stumbled upon this charm at Barnes & Noble this past summer and almost didn't buy it. I am so very thankful that I did. It provided so many thoughts and tips that helped me to think through how I was really handling my work-from-home situation. (Not well.) I found myself underlining and making notes in every chapter!Rebecca had practical suggestions, accompanied with wit and sarcasm. I found myself laughing and crying - due to the funny stories and the relief to discover that there are other people out there that are going through the same thing and feeling the same way. This book is definitely not just for traditional solo workers, but any individual that finds themselves working alone! Give it a shot!

This book gave me a breath of fresh air
I was so delighted to receive this book as a gift recently. As someone who has worked solo for over 20 years, you think you have it all nailed down, the pandemic hit and there is so much more to tackle about being a solo operator than you ever imagined. This book gave me a breath of fresh air and new ways of thinking about my situation with approaches and tools for addressing how I manage myself as well as how I handle certain kinds of tasks, short and long term. I actually feel less solo now with this book in my hands!

Couldn’t be more relevant right now
I really enjoyed this. Relevant for more than the original planned audience thanks to Covid-19 forcing so many more people to work from home and very well written and engaging. The book makes you think about the way you plan all aspects of your working life and is packed with practical takeaways. There are some cracking stories too, although I think there could be more.

The book I’ve been waiting for
I’ve been self-employed for over ten years now and this is the most useful book I’ve read on the topic (by a very long way). Working alone is hard, even for introverts. Thank you for writing it - it has already made a big difference to how I work and feel.

Absolutely Brilliant!!!
I, like many have had some major changes in my working life. We own a hair salon and during the lockdown have been forced to close due to national restrictions.Whilst being at home dealing with the paperwork and planning I fell in to many of the same traps as detailed in this book. What I love about this book is how relatable it is and how nicely written it was. I cant remember being that engrossed in a book that I read it all in 1 day.Highly recommend!!

Some solid advice for solo workers
I enjoyed this book. Written with a warm, friendly tone, the author offers advice on a range of topics from loneliness to eating well. The book did seem to just ‘end’ - think I would have liked a more rousing conclusion. However, would recommend to anyone who is currently home-working or is self-employed

Loved the book. I found the answers to several questions around working from home. She has done some good research and put the book together in a right moment and time.
