I had a Black and Decker “Lids Off” opener for decades. It quit working and I got a replacement to the tune of $175! After about three years the automatic jar holder mechanism got jammed. It appears that they don’t make them anymore and I saw this opener for less than $30! Well, it gets the job done. It is easy to use and pops the lids off quicker than the B&D model. Takes up much less space and is very portable as it’s battery operated.

My Mom has arthritis and was having difficulty opening jars. I bought her this hoping it would help…. And it has surpassed my expectations! My hard to please Mom loves this! She is now calling me all the time when she uses it to open jars. “ I opened a spaghetti jar”… “I opened up a jar of pickles”…..she is so happy and excited that she can do these things now on her own. This is the second one we've purchased. It works very well, but it doesn't last very long. Hence, the second purchase. I do recommend it for those who have trouble opening jars. Just be prepared to replace it more often than you might expect. It's still worth the purchase.

Had a jar of pickles that, in the summer, was slick with condensation so I couldn't get a grip to open. Besides it being wet it was a larger size. This unit opened it with ease. Fast and easy!

Bought first one for my 82 year old Mother and worked so well I purchased a second for my Home. Easy to use and works on Pill Bottles and fits in the Kitchen Drawer. Great value also. Thank You.

We have only had this 2 weeks but really are happy how it open any jars large or small . We also tried it on Vacuum seal mason Jars and it worked great on break the seal on the llds .That means no more bent lids.We are healthy 80 plus and this has made are life even easier.

I really liked it. Then one day it decided not to work. I changed the batteries and still it would not work. It pinched my finger and then blew up. It just fell apart. I will stick to the large one that I have since I have used it for over 5 years with no issues.

It’s easy to use. You have to get it centred over the lid or it topples off as it twists to open it. So much better than running hot water over the Lid using hand held grippers etc.

Fantastic product.

Not a gimmicky toy to buy, but a genuine aide to have if you need it. It is slow and noisy but does the job well with no effort required. So if your hands and wrists are in very bad condition this will give you more independence. But if they are not so bad you may be better with the manual aides that require some effort.

Arrived on time but didn't work so I'm almost 40 bucks down
