The raw gold is dissolved into a solution and electric current is passed through a substance to effect a chemical change on the base metal.The coin set has undergone a few steps to achieve the end result, clean and pepeare the metal for plating. We then move the coins to the Gold Plating stage. Once the coins have been plated we then hand polish and buff the Gold to a high lustrous shine, the polish we use also acts as a seal so the Gold will last the test of time.Why is the cost so high ?The cost of gold is high at the moment.
