Tech Wash is a wash-in cleaner for waterproof clothing and equipment. It safely revitalises breathability and water-repellency. Tech Wash is a non-detergent soap which can be used regularly to clean clothing and equipment without damaging the Durable Water Repellent (DWR) coatings. Use Tech Wash instead of detergents or washing powder which leave behind water-attracting residues. SoftShell Proof is wash-in waterproofing for soft shell clothing that adds water-repellency and revives breathability of all soft shell garments with non-wicking linings. How to apply... Tech Wash To clothing * 1. Place item in washing machine. * 2. Apply Nikwax Tech Wash in the machine's dispenser. * 3. Select a normal wash cycle, start machine and complete rinse cycle. * 4. Alternatively, just apply Nikwax in a simple hand wash. * 5. Drip-dry or tumble dry on a low setting if the care label allows. To tents and accessories * 1. Apply item in hand-hot water in a sink or bowl and agitate. * 2. Rinse thoroughly in clean water. * 3. Drip-dry. Note: * Tech Wash can be applied neat to fabrics as a stain or grease remover prior to washing. Volume guide (take from label) * To clean 1-2 items use 2 full caps (100ml) in soft water or 3 full caps in hard water. * Wash according to item(s) care label. Quantities used will depend on condition and size of item. SoftShell Proof For best results always clean item(s) first with Nikwax Tech Wash. No need to try items(s) before waterproofing. Volume Guide (take from label) * Add 3 full caps (150ml) to proof 1-2 items. When to use this product... Tech Wash Clean items with Nikwax Tech Wash before proofing them with the appropriate Nikwax proofer. You should be able to wash reproofed gear 6 to 8 times with Nikwax Tech Wash before it requires reproofing with the appropriate Nikwax proofer. SoftShell Proof Always apply this product to used soft shell clothing to keep items in perfect water-repellent condition. Remember to clean gear first with Nikwax Tech Wash before applying Nikwax SoftShell Proof (you don’t have to wait for items to dry between cleaning and proofing).
