Calibers and ammunition with higher muzzle velocity require increased distance to impact in order to prevent target damage. Maximum recommended impact velocity for minimum target damage is 2800FPS. Please refer to a ballistic chart for your caliber.Minimum recommended pistol distance from target 15 yards. Hanging the target face pointed slightly downward will help direct bullet splatter down and reduce the risk of injury.
