GMB GWI-S32A Isuzu Water Pump is a vital part required to circulate coolant around the engine. The heat produced by engine combustion is absorbed by coolant which then passes through the radiator to cool down before returning to the engine. The water pump is situated between the radiator and engine and driven by the pulley through the timing belt or fan belt. The water pump causes coolant to circulate. It consists of a body (aluminum diecast, cast iron, aluminum gravity, etc), flange(forged steel, sintered iron, etc), impeller (pressed steel, cast iron, synthetic resin, etc), water pump bearing, and mechanical seal kit. Revolution power of crankshaft is transmitted to impeller through water pump bearing. Impeller vanes drive coolant out into circulation jacket. The vortex chamber of the water pump filled with coolant is separated from the water pump bearing by a mechanical seal kit. A sliding seal, like a mechanical seal kit, must be lubricated all the time it is moving by coolant fluid. Engulfed(lubricating) coolant evaporates out into the water pump bearing side and exits through the weep hole on the body.
