Mr. Bar-B-Q 06187X Grill Stone Pizza Set

My husband took the stone out of the box and put it on the gas grill -- the stone was fine. He turned on the grill to preheat for a pizza -- the stone was fine. He lifted the top of the preheated grill and put the pizza on the stone -- the stone was fine. A few minutes later he took the cooked pizza off the stone -- the stone had broken in two. This set was not cheap but I wanted to get something of good quality because I knew we would use it often. Guess I picked the wrong one.

I have been using this for a while on both the grill and in the oven and can definitely notice a difference. We use for both homemade pizza dough on the grill and frozen pizza in the oven, and it works great for both. The only thing I would say is that it came cracked but was replaced, customer service was great. Not sure if this happens all the time or it was an isolated incident. I generally just wipe it clean and do not wash it with soap and water based on instructions.

Since received, I've used this grill stone on my gas bar-b-que grill four times and it has been fabulous. I followed the directions and after heating my grill and stone to 375-400 for 10-15 minutes, I've turned it to it's lowest position and then placed the pizza on the stone. In 20 minutes or less, the pizza is grilled and tastes great. I tested my new skill out on friends by making a homemade pizza, and they all felt the grill did great.

Broke, used it about 6 times on he 7th time cracked right down the middle.i followed all the directions. Not on direct heat and heat up with the grill, don't throw it on cold etc. unfortunately now I have a $30 busted stone 4 days after the amazon 30 day return window. Really disappointed. Judging by people's reviews they probably have some quality control issues or inconsistent manufacturing processes.

This was a gift for my son in law who loves to grill. We had grilled pizza which we did right on the grill and while they were great I wanted to try a stone. This was a great improvement and the pizza was very similar to an artisan restaurant pizza. I highly recommend this and am going to be getting one for myself.
