Works as it’s supposed to, super simple to use, mainly used with cat 6

I have a 2.5 story home using a Synology MESH network, with a RT-2600 as the primary router upstairs in a closet and a MR2200 downstairs in the living area setup as a Wi-Fi access point. ~40' of in-wall Cat-6 Ethernet is connected between both devices running through two unmanaged switches. Running a throughput test from the RT2600 router's builtin application provides an average speed of ~ 915Mbps, both directions, for all five of these extender adapters when connected at the MR2200 WAN port connection using a short extender cable; this is the same speed as without a UGREEN adapter installed.

I needed an cat 6 ether net cable length that was not common, so I got theses instead. I was able to connect two ether net cable to get the length I need by using these connectors. I tell you what, it worked better than I expected. I ran a speed test on the cable before using the connector and after I finish running the cable with the connectors. I only seen between 5 to 8 mbps drop. i have been running them for a few months now and they are still going strong.

This item is roughly 1"x1"x1-3/4" and I don't understand why. I have not tested it yet and it will be tucked away in a media hub but it you are looking for something twice the size of a normal RJ45 count on this item being at least four to six times the normal size. Update: coupler is functioning as expected.

Generally would not couple cables, but for a temporary measure they do the job. Have not noticed any degradation or latency issues and would certainly keep these handy to use again when needed.

Used one of these CAT-5 couplers outside my house to run CAT-5 to a detached one car garage. Installed this coupler in-side the customer side of the plastic housing "de-mark" that the cable company has on the outside of most houses. This is not rated as weather proof but we are getting a full 1 Ghz ethernet speed at the end of about a 70 ft run and no issues. This is a much heavier duty coupler then some I have had in the past. I would expect that this one ensures the best possible connection when you have to use a coupler. I will be the first to admit that with couplers you are asking for trouble. In this case the run was in buried conduit and would have been impossible to re-pull. I was glad I planned ahead and had the run pulled when the garage was built.

Are they a little bulky.. YES with good reason. They need the room for the properly twisted pairs in the case. or they will be real slow on file transfers. They also wont attract the moisture and Acids that the Cheapo connectors will get or the corrosion.Ive used the cheep ones and in under a year they're bad.We do a Ton of networking and in some cases we have to extend a network and untill we can either rewire or build another layer on the network these work perfect. I wish there were products built this was for some of the phone equipment we have to deal withTo the people that use these remember these may slow you up a small amount but no where as bad as the cheep connector or the added network layer..

Resultó muy util para lo que necesitaba, como es una conexión universal funcionó muy bien con el cable que tenia como linea de internet, el producto es muy bueno y práctico para cuando se quiere extender la linea de internet, no hace falta comprar todo el cable de nuevo solo conectar la antigua conexión con otro cable y funciona perfectamente. A mí me resultó muy práctico y útil. Recomiendo el producto si lo que quieren es extender su conexión de internet.
