Our Own Candle Company Soy Wax Aromatherapy Candle, Simply Lavender, 6.5 Ounce

Most of the negative reviews for these candles are about them "not having a scent."It's true: of all the scented candles I've tried, these have the most subtle fragrances of them all. And that's perfect.With all of the other candles I've tried, burning one for even an hour fills the room with overwhelmingly acrid-tasting air that burns my eyes and throat. The "Our Own" candles are the first I've found that aren't like that.And they definitely aren't scentless. Even days after burning one, I can still smell their fragrance upon entering the room I burnt them in. And as far as I can tell, the fragrances match their description just fine.If you're like me and can't stand super-strong scents of most candles and perfumes and such, this is a good buy.

Was nice when it actually burned...burned completely uneven straight down the middle even after I tried pushing and moving the wax down...after pushing the wax down it then only burned for about 1 minute before burning itself out and now it will no longer stay burning at all... Very disappointing

These work fabulousy! They do burn down quickly in the middle so, what my husband did, was to melt all the excessive wax in the metal holder it came in and bought some candle wicks at a hobbie store, Viola! You got yourself another candle! I love the smell and it keeps all those pesty bugs away. If you look at the photos the 2 right candles are made from the extra wax left over from another candle. I bought a three pack and got another three candle from the extra wax.

I recently had to stop diffusing lavender oil in my house because of possible risks to my cat but I really love that lavender oil smell and always thought lavender candles smelled lavender-ish but not the same. It dawned on me that they might make candles with essential oils so I searched and found this candle and I’m so glad I did. It smells divine, just like if I were diffusing lavender oil and there’s no risk to my cat. I’ve had it a few days and already burned it halfway down. I leave it burning way too long because I love the smell. Will definitely be buying this candle again.

A neighbor gifted my mom with one of these candles. She doesn't tend to burn candles (the scent can be a bit much for her) but my cousin opened the tin and set it on the register. Delightful! I promptly ordered two for my house and put one on a downstairs register and one on an upstairs register. My house just has a clean freshness to it now. LOVE.

Smells like it should - like the real essential oil. I tried sage, bergamot and spearmint varieties, love them all. The aroma is not extremely strong but still fills the room. Candle burn lasts a decent amount of time for the size. No synthetic colors in the wax that are burning up and into my home. May be my new favorite candle brand!

Bought these same candles roughly a year ago and loved them. The scent was great and relaxing. I bought three of them this time since I used the last one so frequently but have been disappointed to find the scent to be so weak this time it doesn't make any difference to the scent of the room (room is tiny, like 10x20 feet).I will not be purchasing these again, unfortunately.That said, I also have the same problem other posts have mentioned with it only melting the middle section and leaving the outer section un-touched. I solved he by just pushing that section into the middle. No big deal here.

The initial smell of the candle, when you sniff the soy wax directly, is nice. But while I had it burning, I didn't smell anything. 3 Stars for a "neutral" feeling.Is it a candle? Yes.Did it come looking and sized as advertised? Yes.Does the wax have the smell of the scent you ordered? Yes.Does it smell nice while burning? No. I didn't smell anything while the wick was lite.The only smell I get from it is when I just leave the lid off without it lite. I can smell the scent of the soy wax itself. I was hoping for a stronger smell while it the wick burned and melted the wax, but that wasn't the case.I will be trying other candles from other companies.
