After 25 years of banging around the original dough hook, and putting it in the dishwasher (even though I think it said not to) the finish was coming off the old one. The new one is very slightly different than OEM but works great and looks like it should last another 25 years

I've seen a lot of back and forth but it absolutely fits my K5SS vintage Kitchenaid Hobart mixer. It's a different shape than the original but it works.

Noticed when I washed the dough hook today that there is a circle of very thin coating instead of the thicker coating on the rest of the hook. 5 stars for how it works, but 2 stats for quality control. The coating peeled of my last dough hook.

I was happy to find this dough hook that could be used with an older kitchen aid mixer. I was fairly certain I could find the parts I needed for a kitchen aid mixer that was from the 1960's, and sure enough, the attachments fit perfectly and worked well. I got this mixer at an estate sale, and it's great that kitchen aid makes the parts for older models. Kitchen aid mixers last for so long, it's nice to know that parts are available, and not obsolete!
