Love it. It does exactly what is says. 98% dust suction. seriously. no need to wear a respirator. 1-1/4" hose from home depot fits perfectly.

I use it with a Henry vacuum cleaner and Numatic Hepa-Flo bags which stops all dust from contaminating the filter and motor. I purchased a Henry compatible 5 metre flexi hose (approx £12) and cut off the end fitment. This Henry flexi hose is the same diameter as the short connecting hose that came with the sander and so can be connected directly to the sander. A tiny bit of a struggle to attach the hose but once one side is on I could screw it by a turn to give a tight fit. One thing to watch is the suction can be strong making the sander difficult to move even with the adjustable vent on the sander attachment fully open. Luckily my Henry is one of the older models with two suction settings for the motor and I had to set mine to low. The usual way of achieving a lower suction is to have a hole in the connection tube. Vacuum machine manufacturers often include this facility in the rigid tubes (a hole that can be covered for maximum suction). Dust will not come out of the hole because the vacuum cleaner is still sucking in via the sanding attachment AND the hole. The attachment worked extremely well in that it collected all the dust. I’m using to sand down gypsum plasterboard jointing compound (also used as an easy filler) which produces a very fine dust which can migrate to the furthest room in the house. Be aware that sanding with this attachment can be a lot more tiresome than with a with a non-suction hand sander. This is because used flat it can stick to the wall by itself. This disadvantage is offset by near zero dust being distributed around the house. I would recommend getting a 5 metre roll of the mesh sanding material and cutting it to size yourself. It can be cut with a pair of scissors (but not your best pair). Rolls can be obtained in the UK from Amazon and Toolstation etc. Remember that the mesh sanding material is double sided and can be turned over once one side is dull.
