A terrific bargain
While this thing has a 'refurb' sticker on the back, it looks perfectly new to me.The tablet updated about 15 times, but once that was done, the tablet works wonderfully. It does not make phone calls or text messages, but works well if you use google voice or a similar service for phone calls.Performance is good - not amazing, but for browsing, movies, normal games (Mario Kart on android) it is a great machine. If you use any USB-C hub with an HDMI adaptor, you can enter 'Dex' mode and use it as a desktop computer, more or less like a Chromebook.Android Auto does not work on this kind of tablet, sadly. A totally artificial restriction that is difficult to get around without rooting the device. If Android Auto is important to you, don't get a Samsung tablet.Construction quality is fantastic. It's easy to swap the battery, change the memory card, and it's very safe from water intrusion. The tablet without the case is durable. With the case, it's a tank. I also love that it's only an 8 inch - large enough for easy one handed holding, albeit it's heavier than an ipad mini.I get about a day of battery life, and I can buy a new battery when the one I received no longer works well.I received a good charger and the tablet, the case, the S-Pen.I cannot complain and I am so glad I got this instead of something costing twice as much and half as nice.

Impressed by this tablet's durability
So I've had this tablet for a minute. I was looking for a device that would replace my laptop, cell phone and WiFi device.Basically, I was looking for an all in one, portable device.I've been so far very impressed with this device. In an industrial setting, I'd probably upgrade the case it came with, to further protect it from everyday stress. But as I'm using it as my personal device, even using it at work in a restaurant setting, is far more durable than any cell phone or tablet I've ever owned. I used to be wary of Samsung devices in an every day setting, I found then to be very fragile and painfully lacking in upgrades and performance. I took a chance with this device, and I haven't been disappointed. It hasn't been submerged, but it has been rained on, snowed on (and dropped in the snow) dropped from a reasonable level, less than it's rated for, but from a level where almost every other device I've owned from any other company has broken or at least suffered from. The pen is the same same quality.I haven't bought any other case than what it comes with, which holds the pen nicely, and all I've added to it is a good screen protector and a cheap pop holder to make it easier to hold. That combined with a 1 tb external card, it's better and more powerful than a laptop or smart phone of the same price.Like I said, I use it for everything, and it's with me all the time and everywhere I go. It even fits in my pocket (I wear tru-spec pants, so my hip pockets are very large, which is where I carry it, if it's not in my bag). The battery life is impressive, especially because I'm using it all day long. I might have to charge it everyday, but I'm also using it all day long.I highly suggest this device. Samsung stepped up their game with this one and won me back as a customer, because of this device, alone.

Rugged and fast.
I've had this tablet for about 2 years now. I've used it for drone flying and at work. It reminds me of the old Active series of phones (which were great). Replaceable battery, reinforced frame, harder glass, physical navigation buttons, and the home button doubles as the fingerprint sensor which is incredibly responsive and reliable. The included case is nice. The S Pen is the perfect size, large enough to actually wrote with but nice and compact.

Do not buy from these people!
Item looked brand new but would not boot up or charge. So I opened it up. THERE WAS NO BATTERY INSTALLED!!! Good grief.

Practical, ruggedized yet good looking tablet
8" screen is the perfect size for a tablet that aims at being useful both as a rich navigation tool when driving and as a handy tablet to carry around, use as a portable video player, as a notebook to use for form-filling, scribble on using the passive pen or take pictures. All even with one hand. Larger tablets, of course, offer more screen real estate but or not nearly as portable, are more fragile, and are not ruggedized like this one.CPU performance is mid-range. Display resolution and brightness are excellent; battery life is superior (2+ days).I have not been able to test it in high-temperature conditions (still winter-time), but even when used intensely, the battery temperature stays much lower than on equivalent phones. I expect it to handle high temperatures in the cabin much better than most phones.

The Classic Tablet setup
Removable battery, physical buttons, headphone jack, bright screen, comes with a case and S pen. This tablet is every I would hope for, while many may think the material/design is backward I like the fact that I can swap batteries, and it is not a fragile device. It obviously does not look as premium as the Tab S series but this has decent spec and more decent price. I snag it during the prime day deal and it was a steal. I have been contemplating if I should get a tablet because I am using. Z Fold but I did not regret it because it makes reading or watching movie a little more enjoyable. The only downside is the speaker is not as loud or even comparable to an A series tablet but that is not a deal breaker for me. Enjoying it so far.
