Works as advertised, but is not my ideal solution...
This 1.25" Fullmetal Adapter Mount for Nikon DSLR and Telescope Eyepiece was shipped and received very quickly. It is of high quality construction, but the overall working length of the original 1" diameter focusing tube, with this adapter installed adds several inches to the tube. Once you connect your Nikon camera body to this adapter, the weight of the camera body puts a lot of force on the connection where the 1" diameter focusing tube meets this adapter. The force generated is great enough that it overcomes the ability of the one small set screw to hold the whole assembly perfectly in line, which is required in order to take a photograph using this adapter. While the idea of having a 1" diameter to 1.25" diameter adapter to use 1.25" diameter eyepieces is a great one, it just doesn't work for holding a heavy DSLR body when you're trying to take a quality photo. The better solution would be to get a new 1.25" diameter focusing tube and replace the 1" diameter focusing tube that came with your telescope. That is the solution that worked best for me.

Solid Construction, Versatile and Good Value
The DoubleSun 1.25" Adaptor Mount for Cannon EOS Camera is a good value. It has three parts all constructed of metal. The T2 Mount makes a solid connection to the camera. The 1.25" adaptor can be screwed into the T2 Mount so a camera can use a telescope, with an 1.25" eyepiece focuser, for direct objective photography. The 1.25" adaptor can also be screwed into the extension tube and the extension tube screwed into the T2 Mount, so a camera can use a telescope for eye projection photography, when an 1.25" eyepiece is inserted into the extension tube. The screw for locking the eyepiece in the extension tube is metal and has a nice sized knob. I used the eyepiece projection set up to take pictures of Mars at opposition this fall and the system worked well. It is a pleasant surprise to be able to get quality equipment like this for a reason price.

This unit has no retention groove or taper for thumbscrews to engage (your camera can fall off...).
It's as well made as a solid piece of metal can be, and is pretty well universal. It's a generic ring with set screws securing a thread insert for the extension tube. Problem I see with this, is a lack of any physical means to lock the camera in and prevent a fall. Most eyepieces have a small, shallow groove (or taper) for the thumbscrews to engage, but this unit does not. You'll have to really tighten the screws to be 'sure' your camera won't fall out. As long as you're aware of this potential issue, you'll be fine, and have no disappointment.Also...Be aware that using this means you're using prime focus...so this may hold your camera too far away from the telescope's focal point.

Does the job so far.
I bought a telescope for my granddaughters birthday this year and thought this would be a nice touch for here Canon T3 rebel so she could get some nice shots of the moon and other planets. she's very happy with it.
