My daughter loves space, and one of her goals in life is to develop space exploration apparatus. she loves robotics and when she received this, she had a great time building it. It wasn't exactly what i was expecting but its instructions were easy enough to follow and it appears to be a decent quality for the price.

As my son was interested in understanding solar panels, that I ordered this. He was hooked on the product and wanted to make another DIY solar-powered contraception

This product was assembled by my 15 year old daughter and my 8 year old grandson. The instructions are picture only and it took them a while to understand that they needed to put the gearboxes together first and then move onto their chosen configuration. They chose to build the astronaut with the battery instead of solar all because it had to have the round helmet. They had a little problem with getting things to line up but it was their issue. I had to explain to slide the gear over more, etc... This was a really cool item because it made them think about what they were doing and why. We used this as a teaching moment. We will be looking to see if their are any other ones and possibly buying another one of this kit so one of the other options can be built. I would definitely recommend this product for older kids.
