7 Pieces Japanese Cast Iron Teapot Cup Set Tea Kettle with Infuser and Trivet(40 oz)

This tea pot set is better than i expected. I bought the 40 oz, 4 piece set as a 1 year anniversary gift for my girlfriend and i know she'll be ecstatic. Im even thinking about getting one for myself. The set was nicely and properly packaged with each item packaged in its own box with bubble wrap. I was pleasantly surprised to find 4, not 2, iron tea cups with the set, as the product was advertised to include only 2. Also, the interior of the tea pot is not coated with enamel as described, which is better in my opinion, so i don't have to worry about the enamel cracking when we boil water on the stove. (Now, I am not sure if my order was a mistake by the seller when packaging or a discrepancy in the listing, but i would not expect 4 tea cups and a tea pot without an enamel coating if i were to buy another; i'd only hope it comes that way again:) The tea pot was smaller than i expected but it is the size described and is made with great quality, as well are the tea cups (which do have an enamel coating), and the trivet. The included instructions for care are obviously a rough Japanese or mandarin to english translation which makes it a little difficult to understand, so i will be looking online for better instructions.All in all, this is a wonderful set made with great quality and looks damn good. Makes me want a cup of tea just looking at it.

I should take one star off, looks as if glaze has chipped off the rim in two places of One of the four cups; but since I am into function more than fashion, I can overlook that flaw. The pot looks same as depicted on Amazon. The artwork is so pretty, so unique, exquisite in a rustc way. All pieces are heavy. I like that. The cups; however, tip over (to me, a little too easy) maybe due to shape of the cup-style. Cup size capacity is approximately 2.5 maybe three ounces. The pot advertises its capacity to be about 40 oz. The fact that it is made to sit on the stove top burner, (I have natural gas burning stove) was the feature promptimg me to choose this set. The tea strainer basket's unique shape including a flat bottom allows it to reach deep into its pot, and the food grade wire mesh material is very fine. Can hardly wait to try my newest loose herbal tea with chamomile in it. This pot is specifically purchased for this loose, fine, type teas and this tea strainer basket appears to be made to handle task.. Having a cast iron trivet with runner covered feet also was fantastic selling feature to me.I plan to Update after using this set in near future. Today is 02 January 2022

Was looking for a traditional Japanese cast iron teapot with an infuser to replace my broken glass one - this was the perfect option! Sturdy, heavy (might be a bit of drawback for elderly folks to carry around) , nice ornament and easy to use clean teapot and elegant tea cup set. Highly recommend for all tea enthusiasts!

This teapot is a beautiful piece of functional art. The teapot is a good idea and has a neat filter in it which does its job when you need it to!

The positive: It is very nice. The negative: The hole on the top lets a very hot steam come out, so you need to use something to hold it; if the whole supposed to make noise when it is hot, then it is not working… or perhaps I need to let it get hotter.

If you follow the initial directions, it works great. Had it for over 6 months and have had no issues that other people talk about. It gets used multiple times a day too. Look up how to season a cast iron teapot and you'll be set.

This is a beautiful elegant feeling cast iron pot and cups that I love. I got it over a year ago and it lasted so long even though I do not take very good care of cast iron products and I'm still learning how to do so. The little cups is specially made it worth it because at my work me and a co-worker would have tea time essentially with small snack and the cups held the heat amazingly well almost too well. I am considering buying it again as I stated before I do not take care of cast iron stuff well and some of the coating is beginning to flake. So even after a year of heavy use with not as good care taken as should be it is just starting to show its wear and tear and I will admit my care for cast iron materials is not good at all.

I'm an avid tea-drinker and use this at work daily to steep my teas.The teapot is solid with a heafty handle. It's large enough to steep about four standard-size mugs of tea, which is perfect since I like to share. The pour is reasonably good too.Be aware that this is a teapot, not a kettle. This is for steeping tea, not boiling water. You boil the water some other way (I use an electric kettle) which is then poured into this pot to brew the tea.It also comes with a trivet, which is great for keeping the boiling-hot pot off of the desk, a removable mesh container for the tea leaves, and four little cups.The included Engrish instructions are an absolute treasure and my coworker and I had a great time reading them. Certainly frame-worthy. If you're not fluent in Engrish, the guide may be difficult to understand.Basically, you shouldn't drink tea steeped in an iron pot until it's prepped. You prep a cast-iron teapot by first steeping a pot-full of tea, discarding it after an hour or so. Repeat this process a few times to coat the interior and help prevent rusting. Tea should also not be left in the pot - so if you're done, pour out all the excess tea before putting the pot away. Rinsing and letting it air dry is usually enough to keep it clean.If you're looking for an entry-level iron teapot this is a no-brainer. I may purchase another for home.Really a great value for what you get.
