More positive than negative.
I recommend this portable speaker. 1.). Small with good sound. I read all of the negative reviews and disagree re sound. The speaker is wireless and very small. Why crank it? It is not designed to be part of a hi-Fi system. For this price, why expect more? The volume is loud enough from a speaker less than 4 inches. 2.). Quality Sound. The sound quality is very good. Even at max volume it is good for its size. 3.). Size. Yes, it is small and with a cord to hang it, it is amazing the sound it produces. 4.). Battery. I turn it on and off and it lasts about two weeks. So I am guessing about 4 or 5 hours. Charges fast. 5.). Water proof. And strong/durable. With a 5 year old this is required. 6.). Set up and pairing. Set up is very easy. Pairing is easy.Only negative is you may have to turn off and on to pair to the device if it is not used consecutively. If it is off and previously paired, you may have to repeat. It on;y takes 3 seconds.

Great little speaker
Great little speaker! I'm really happy with this purchase. I've charged it once and have been listening to it for hours and hours in my office. I'm sure I'll have to charge it soon... I actually placed it upright inside the box it came in to amplify the sound and my assistant and I listen to podcasts in the office while we bash out reports. I'm excited to try it out on the lake :)

Looks cool, but NOT for audiobooks
First off, it’s good. I use it for my Alienware Alpha mini desktop computer. I keep it at mid-volume when playing games, and it can last at least 6-7 hours before I get the battery low warning. I bought it for purely aesthetic reasons (got a soft spot for bright orange & black).Sound quality is all right, but if you like richer audio and something loud enough for a pool party, get thee a larger portable speaker. This one will not rattle your ribcage, even indoors at max volume, a foot away from your face.Drawbacks: It particularly sucks at playing audiobooks. For some reason, it’ll skip the audio track every 10 seconds, rendering the audiobook incomprehensible. I originally wanted to pair it with my phone, but I got an Altec Mini H2O to replace this EcoPebble for this reason. The pebble is definitely chunkier/heavier than the mini H2O, so at least it makes a better paper weight.I’m not a fan of the detachable seal cover for the charging port. If I were using this as an outdoor speaker, I’d worry about the string getting hooked on something and coming loose. I wish the seal cover was more integrated like the silicone tab on the mini H2O.That said, the pebble has the advantage of having an audio aux in port, in case the device it’s connected to doesn’t have Bluetooth pairing. Doesn’t hurt that it also has a screw hole mount on the bottom, but it’s not necessary for me.Overall, it looks good, at least serves its a purpose if not its intended purpose. There are certainly better, cheaper options on the market depending on what you want portable speakers for.
