Viper 3100V 1-Way Security System

So far it has been working great. Easy to install. Instruction are great. Installed in around one hour.

This remote does an excellent job! Works very well and one of the cheaper ones out there. I put in my 04 Dodge Ram, now I have remote start! Love it!! Nice upgrade for my older truck!Worked great for me !!

I had this alarm professionally installed; and I’m glad I did. It took him two hours (SUV); and no doubt it wudda taken me two days to me to install/screw it up and then I’d call him anyway. I now know there are various options (like 30/60-second delay auto lock); but my installer said there were none. .The company is not responding to me, and seems not to want to talk to layman/customers – – only the installer who is not responsive to me. So I am left in a lurch. Most notable is that the alarm remote won’t operate very far - half what my car keys do. Sometimes - close by, even standing next to car - it takes 4-7 button presses to lock/unlock.

Installed this security system in my 2014 mustang convertible following a break in at night. had to get creative and buy a haynes repair manual and trace some of the wiring with a Fluke toner. I tapped into the accessories circuit (on with ignition key in start and run) for the yellow wire that goes to the ignition switch. Spliced in a 16 guage wire from positive battery terminal to red wire on alarm, placed fuse at battery, grounded the negative through the vehicle chassis. For the door sensor wire I tapped into the wire that turns the map lights on when a door is opened. Positive horn wire was long enough to reach through firewall by the hood latch cable without additional wire splicing, negative of horn to battery. Didn't use the ignition interrupt. Hid the alarm box under the carpeting. Took a good 4 hours or so to install and get working. Giving the car a shove with your elbow emits 3 loud chirps as a warning, before the full alarm. The full alarm is loud enough to arouse attention especially since my apartment complex is well lit.

I'm very pleased with the alarm. It doesn't give false alerts and the ignition kill-switch makes it so even if someone has a key they can't start my truck. I had to pay to have it installed but it was simple. Anyone comfortable with their auto's electric system could install this alarm. I've used Viper Alarms in the past and I've always been pleased.

despite reading some bad reviews stating the alarm is low etc I still decided to buy it and let me just say, THAT ALARM IS NOT LOW, I can hear it all the way on the the top floors of my apartment and it is a very reasonable price for this system, most alarm systems are expensive but i’m happy I took a chance with this one because I can now open the door without the manual manufacturer key, i can use the keyless remote on this system- I have a ford focus 2008 and I can sound the alarm as well which is indeed loud, the key is a little sensitive however so be careful not to accidentally sound it. great buy, I would recommend.+ It has a silent feature! off you don’t want the unlock boring to sound. The alarm is a bit sensitive to, thunder can cause it to go off.

I purchased this alarm for a 72 Chevy pickup. The product was what I expected and was easy to install. Being my truck is so old it doesn't have electric door locks or even door switch pins as OEM.I contacted viper twice via email for some guidance. The contacts were about a month apart. So far I have hear nothing from the costumer service department except that the emails were received and a representative would contact me.I'll never recommend this company or its products because of the extremely poor costumer support.
