Fits both my phones
Without a case the phone feels slippery and is easy to drop but with the case it gives it a nice grip without feeling almost sticky like some material can. The case color is a translucent purple. My phone is black so with the case on it looks like more of a darker purple.I originally bought this case for my Pixel XL 2. I kept that phone for about a year and then upgraded to the PIxel XL 3. My case fits my new phone so I never had to buy a new one. The holes on the back of the phone, for the finger scanner and camera, are slightly off center on my Pixel XL 3 but only enough to notice if you're looking at them. It doesn't effect how anything works. I've been using the case on my new phone for about 5 months now and am still as happy with it as the day I bought it.It's easy to take off if I need to but after roughly a year and a half it's never loosened up enough to come off on it's own at all and it gets jammed in and out of my pocket multiple times a day.

Well made and worth it.
Fairly basic clear case, but cut nicely for my "Panda" Pixel 2 XL. Material has a rubbery feel that lets you grip the phone well. Fits nice and snug and the cut outs are done well. The rigidity of the sides make pressing the power and volume controls a bit tougher, but any decent case would do that anyway. This rigidity doesn't affect the Active Edge "squeeze" feature of the phone to open the Google Assistant either.Overall, I like the case because it's minimalistic, simple and lets me see the colors of my phone. If I had a complaint, it's just that the edges of the case don't come up over the level of the screen. I purchased a two pack of tempered glass screen protectors and applied that just before putting the phone into the case. The protector is just over the edge of the case, so the case is basically cut to the height of the screen. Not bad, depending on how you look at it, but different from other cases like this I've had.I'll try to update this review in a month or so if I experience any "yellowing" of the plastic as reported on some other reviews I've read for cases like this.

A Good Curve-less Screen Protector
I don't make it a habit of dropping my phone, in fact I've had my for over a year without a screen protector on it and I've managed to not have any scratches or cracks. However, I decided to get a screen protector just in case.So far, this is a good screen protector! It's easy to put on, and if you put it on crooked you have enough to pick it up and adjust it before it sticks! (I haven't dropped my phone on hard surface so I can't comment on the durability.)As always, with Google Pixel 2 XL screen protectors, you either buy the curved edge protector or the curve-less protector (which actually sticks to the entire screen and the one I prefer.) This is the curve-less protector so be be prepared for it to only cover the touch screen part of your phone. All and all, I really like what I received and I'm happy 3 come in a pack! Good purchase.

Good fit, feels like it will provide reasonable protection ...
EDIT: It looks like it does just come past the front of the phone. Enough that you can probably put it on the counter face down, not sure if it's enough to keep it safe if it falls face down. It might, it might not, I'm not about to test it in case it doesn't :)Good fit, feels like it will provide reasonable protection against normal drops. It's a tight enough fit that it's not something you will take off/put back on frequently, but it's light and thin enough that you might not want to. The sides/lip do not go far enough to allow protection when it lies face down, the face will still be on the table. The curves on the phone are such that it might not be practical to have a case that actually does that. The front lip is about even with the glass, and there is a substantial gap laterally between the flat front of the glass and where the curves meet the actual case itself. Maybe there's a case out there that covers up parts of the curve as well. I don't really get the whole curved face thing anyway, it doesn't register taps as well among other things, but that's nothing to do with the case.
