Mine did not come with a charger. It uses two AA batteries.

It is dark pinkish. Not red at all.

Q: Hows the appearance of the games on the screen? I have one thats old and its gotten so dark you cant really play on it without being in the light

It doesn't have a backlight, so you need a decent amount of light to play.
