Purchased of these "renewed" hard drives expecting a pull from a datacenter that was perhaps upgrading. I was wrong. I received the hard drive, put it in my enclosure, and noticed it was very loud. At first I thought it was because I haven't used HDDs in a while and forgot how loud they were. Copied over about 1TB or so of data to it only for the performance to be abysmal. Ended up running a SMART test on it, which it failed miserably.These are failing hard drives. DO NOT BUY.

I can't find anything bad about this drive. Amazon was the seller so I got the 5yr warrenty.

I just picked up 2 X16 14TB drives to upgrade my Synology DS920+ NAS. They both work just fine right out of the box. Both showed 19 hour and 2 power cycles. I can not hear any more noise out of the NAS than it produced with Iron Wolf drives. Tech On Tech packs well and shipped quickly. I'll be back when I need to upgrade the capacity in the future.

For people thinking ur gunna get 6 G/s. Noooooooooooooo.... thats the sata port on it... the connection supports up to 6Gs not that u will get ANYWHERE near that with a platter drive. Thats like saying youe 10/100/1000mbs ethernet port will get 1000mbs... no .... its saying what it can handle up to.
