Incredibly helpful for someone who doesn’t understand how modern baseball statistics are useful. I bought for my baseball analytics internship and I have loved the deep dive into the game. Provides both historical and modern views of everything!

Like the author says : use this book as a glossary. Great for old folks like me that only understand batting averages and ERA and RBIs .Realizing the new sabermetrics are an important tool of the game for understanding how good or bad players are. He is in depth on the subject, yet makes it easy to understand the statistic, and why it is important. I'm guessing if your in baseball management you need to know everything in this book religiously to build a winning team. But I'm just a guy who likes watching baseball and is confused by all the stats they put up on the screen nowadays. This will make this season's October more enjoyable still.

This book is awesome! It is exactly what I was looking for. The author has put a lot of research and work into it and provides every little teeny tiny baseball statistic that exists with examples of how to apply them. A+++
