Thank you
Great book. I’ve worked inpatient, been a patient myself, and I now have the displeasure of needing this book. However it’s great. Working through it alone after my antipsychotics kicked in, is invaluable. I can see it being really helpful inpatient as well, with someone assisting the patient through the book, before the antipsychotics hit (dependent on the individual). Really, thank you for this amazing book. It helps in many many ways. Going through psychosis multiple times and now getting a diagnosis- is the loneliest, scariest, and most confusing time of my life.

Public Health Perspective
This handbook democratizes treatment for individuals and families burdened by psychosis. It presents a positive, practical, and supportive course of action that spans cultures and features accessible language that removes stigma and supports autonomy. The addition of DBT has been tested in Ms. Mullen's practice and ramps up the treatment that can now be offered not only to those directly afflicted by psychosis but also their family members. Keeping the handbook at a low price also enables trainers of mental health professionals to assign it to their students as a way to take them beyond treatment protocols. (COI disclosure: Professor of Public Health at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and the author's mother who encouraged her to write this handbook.)

Concise, easy to use, super helpful!!
I've worked with several clients who struggle with DBT skills use and this manual was very helpful for distilling important DBT skills for mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. The language used is easy to read, conversational, and the guidance provided is practical and functional. If you have a client who finds the original DBT skills training manual difficult to use because of its breadth, depth and sheer magnitude of pages, Maggie Mullen's workbook is a helpful aid that can encourage clients with psychotic spectrum disorders to use skills to build mastery in a hopeful and encouraging way!

Thank you, from a therapist!
As a therapist, I am SO excited this book finally exists!! So helpful to finally have something to use with folks who have psychotic symptoms, instead of what many therapists do of just referring them out to meds or feeling like there’s not much that can be done. Thank you for writing this!!

It's organized and written excellent.
This book is organized excellent. I definitely can comprehend the writing, it's clear & concise. I love workbooks & reading, especially questions within this workbook. I'm very pleased because it's hard to find workbooks on psychosis or psychotic spectrum disorders.
