Q: How are these in below freezing temps?

Not so good. These are not winter boots. I'm a commercial flat roofer in Michigan and I work year around. Below 15 degrees and my toes are cold but tolerable. Below 5 degrees and I have to change them out to my Cabelas Predators. Very tough boot though. I've beat them up hard all winter long and they barely feel broken in. I put 10 to 12 hours a day on them and I'm very happy. Buy the inserts/insoles and thank me later.

Q: Are they water resistant?

They are waterproof. I'm a commercial flat roofer and I walk in 2-4 inches of water frequently. Have never had water get inside.
