These trusty mixes are a taste of home cooking that will bring the whole family to the kitchen. A fabulous easy mix for Yorkshire puddings, pancakes and coating batter. Ingredients ----------- Fortified WHEAT Flour (WHEAT Flour, Calcium Carbonate, Iron, Niacin, Thiamin), Skimmed MILK Powder, Salt, Dried EGG. For fan assisted ovens, please adjust temperatures accordingly. [2] Empty the contents of the sachet into a large mixing bowl, add 2 medium eggs and 200ml of cold water and whisk until smooth. [3] Put 1 tsp (5mls) of vegetable oil into a 12 deep-well Yorkshire pudding or bun tin and heat in the oven for around 10-15 minutes. [4] Pour the batter into the wells of the tin and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden. Pancakes [1] Empty the contents of the sachet into a large bowl. Add 1 medium egg and 250ml of cold water then whisk until smooth. [2] Transfer the mixture to a jug to aid pouring. Lightly oil a medium non-stick frying pan and heat until very hot. Pour in enough batter to thinly coat the base of the pan. [3] Cook for 1-2 minutes on a medium heat until golden brown on the underside. Turn over then cook for a further 1-2 minutes. [4] Transfer the cooked pancakes to a warmed plate and stack on top of each other until ready to enjoy with your favourite topping or filling. (makes approx. 4 x 8” pancakes.) Coating batter [1] Empty the contents of the sachet into a large bowl and add 1 medium egg and 200ml of cold water and whisk until smooth. [2] Use to coat fish, meat, poultry or vegetables, then fry in hot fat. Ensure product is piping hot throughout before serving.
