An Aging Hero
It would be very hard for me to write a negative review about Zig Ziglar. The man has been a model for me for decades. I had the pleasure to meet him at a conference in Dallas, Texas and he was as gracious in person as he was on stage. But this book is a bit of a disappointment. I can tell from it's cadence and tone he wrote this book late in his life when he was slowing down and getting tired. Don't get me wrong, there is some good old Ziglar gold in the book. But you have to fish for it. When I compare this book to a Hopkins book or a Tony Robbins book it just does not have the same energy and impact. Ziglar's book is probably a good reference to keep around and read when the job of selling has got you depleted. He will remind you why you got into selling in the first place. But it is not a good training manual.
