Not Quite The Item Listed (Waterpik TRS-523T 2.0 GPM Power Spray Fixed Mount Shower Head, Chrome)
I've purchased the Waterpik 2.5gpm OptiFlow shower head about ten years ago. Recently, that one became too harsh, not clogged at all... actually too harsh and felt like it was rushing me.So, I thought, bring it down to 2.0 gpm, get the same showerhead. Hence, I ordered this. The model number here is not the TRS-523T. I received TRS-523E. Not sure what the difference is, except this shower head I received is NOT 2.0 gpm, it's 1.8 gpm. Amazon used to have a choice between the one I had at 2.5 and 2.0, and I was just looking to switch to the 2.0, and this is not it.I prefer the wide, circular spray. With this shower head, that setting is ALMOST too light. Mind you, I'm petite with hair that doesn't even fall to my shoulders. Anyone with long hair, unless you need to steam your sinuses open, you should not buy this. You will be in the shower forever. I had to choose one of the other settings, and I'll say this - I'm lucky there was one without "drilling" that worked for a basic shower and had enough spray power.Easy to hand install. Just twist on. Anyone could install this.I can only use the PowerSpray setting, not the wide shower-y circular, to get all of the soap, shampoo, and conditioner off of me. It's the smaller circle that surrounds the dark gray circle in the middle, with the obvious dead spot name plate. I can't get it to install with the name plate at 6 o'clock, where it would least matter in a shower's spray.... I have a dead spot at either my left, or my right. On my right at the moment, as pictured. :-/I do feel like I'm saving water now, but I'm wondering if my longer showers will now be using more natural gas for hot water. Well, just know, this is NOT 2.0 GPM, and it is definitely not OptiFlow, though it never claimed that... the listing should be updated. This is slightly better than a Waxman shower head 1.8gpm that was about half the price from a local store. I'm not sending it back at my cost. Wish I had continued to shop locally. Do not like being misled.

Love, love, love
Everything stated in the description is 100% accurate. Was a bit tricky to get the filter/flow thing out because I was nervous about breaking it but once that was done it was easy to install. I am so happy with this purchase, I barely want to leave my shower! Such a HUGE difference from the shower head that was installed when I purchased my home.

Saves too much water
Water saver feature makes this showerhead almost unuseable. Once removed, works well.

Five minute install!
Bought this to replace an older hand held unit (waterpik) with shot nozzles. The nozzles on these things are mostly rubber and plastic and degrade over time ruining your pressure. After removing the old unit I wound some teflon tape on the supply pipe and the threaded the shower head on by hand. When it was as tight as I could manage I used some big pliers to turn it another half turn or so. Less than five minutes work and now the spray hits the opposite wall of the shower instead of dribbling onto the drain.Water pressure is very good but You can remove the restrictor inside the head if you feel you need more. I have a teenager who loves long showers so I left it in.

Better than a Grohe!!!
Bought this to replace a Grohe (much more expensive) head which we installed when the master bath was re-modeled 2 years ago. I always felt that the Grohe was a little weak in the spray, and the pattern was too wide, but it was ok. Then I bought the hand-held version of this one to put in the guest bath and was amazed at the quality of the spray, the patterns available and the price (1/3 of the Grohe). In my opinion, this is the far superior shower head, with more settings possible, better spray coverage and volume and, again, much better price.
