Bosch Professional 1X Cyl-9 SoftCeramic Tile Drill Bit (For Soft Ceramic Tiles, Ø 10 X 90 mm, Accessories Drill Driver)

Bought this to drill a couple of holes in 2 bottles to make bottle lamps. I experimented a few times before trying on the bottles I wanted to use. It doesn’t matter how careful you are, you are more than likely going to have chipped sections around the actual hole. I decided Because if this, to drill through the label at the back of the bottle to disguise any chipped sections. Nevertheless, the bit did make a very tidy hole so I’m extremely happy. I would say that to be fair, on a tile, this bit would prove its worth!

Always a concern drilling through tiles and this did the job well. Slow going is advisable and generates a lot of heat through porcelain tiles so need to ensure dousing with water regularly. Great from Bosch again.

Nice drill bit, I always use Bosch bits for porcelain tiles, was able to drill 8 holes on 10mm thick porcelain tile with no issues, bit head is still good for lots more use, doesn't wear out like other cheaper bits.

Drills through ceramic tiles with ease slight pressure needed to start to avoid slipping then gentle pressure drills through easily. Would highly recommend

Ordered on Sunday afternoon and received first post Tuesday, can't say fairer than that. Follow the instructions i.e. no water, not more than 300 RPM, no hammer drill and you'll be done in no time. Drilled through my 15mm porcelain in about three minutes with a battery drill. Excellent piece of kit !
