Prime-Line G 3102 1/2 In. Diameter Flat Edge Steel Roller Assembly (2 Pack)

I purchased the same product before and it was OK. I’m not sure this was a bad batch. Most of the axles are loose

First of all, I ordered 5 sets and I got 4 plus a window lock which I don’t need. Some of the rollers don’t roll at all and some of them the pin holding the roller to the “frame” we’re separated on the packaging. These are crimped on the ends so you can’t really reattach the roller to the frame with tools at home.Thirdly…if you live in California and have sliding metal windows like mine, these are the closest I’ve found to a direct replacement. The roller is the right size, but you’ll need to grind the frame a bit to get them to fit in the window. It’s doable, but just know it won’t fit in there without a little modification. I used an angle grinder and had to modify them so the frame really is no wider than the roller. So, do the mods, buy extra in case you get duds, and you’ll be good!

These prime line G3102 rollers work great in my windows. I have to file the width down very slightly and they slide right in and work better than the originals. I tried the G3000 version that has plastic roller and sheet metal frame, which fit in my windows with no adjustment but gave a very choppy sensation when opening and closing.

Wheel assembly tight on shaft. Does not roll easily until you lube it and work it by hand.Did not come with a screw. Had to go to the hardware store for a couple of screws.

These were the right ones but getting them installed in the window little trickier. They sometimes need to finagled in, then getting the exact right height is tricky. Need to have a height that allows the window to roll or glide easier when opening, and at the same time allows to remove window if needed. If mounted a hair too high then can't lift window out. But if you have these windows it's the correct replacement rollers.

If your window has these gliders and are worn out these will do the trick. I changed the sliders in our kitchen window which would stick and now it glides easily. The Seem a bit pricey but they aren’t too many options around.

I bought a pack of two of these to see if they would fit for replacement of corroded rollers in my windows. They fit perfectly and provide smooth rolling. So I just ordered ten more packs to replace the rollers in all of my windows.The rollers are steel and the holder is aluminum so over time moisture causes the rollers corrode and get stuck. Then they slide rather than roll. I will prevent this from happening again by periodically squirting some WD-40 on them.
