Biological Science Volume 2 (5th Edition)

This was the required textbook for my Life Sciences 1 course. I thought I would hate it, but ended up reading through it happily. The text itself is not boring, and the way the text is presented and organizes makes it easy to understand the topics. The only questionable thing is the way the Appendix A numbers the answers. I think it really should follow the question numbers instead of starting from 1 each time it transitions to the next section of questions.

It was delivered to me in perfect condition. The college would have charged me 5 times the amount for the same book, and that is no exaggeration whatsoever.

THIS ISN'T THE ENTIRE BOOK.And giving it low stars because you didn't check is your own fault.But if you only need a few chapters it's worth buying a volume. Plus, the 3 volumes are softcover (so easier to carry) and even if you rent all three, it's still cheaper than renting a full version (about $40 for me, while a full book tends to rent for around $100).As for the content, it's easy to understand and approachable, although the chapters can get long (but hey, it's bio). There's a lot of info but it's explained well and the graphics are good. If you like bio you'll probably enjoy reading this.

Worked great. Received with front cover torn and was charged full price upon return. Beware of borrowing here. Borrow elsewhere or at least take pics of what you get because they will charge you.
