LINKYO Compatible Printer Drum Unit Replacement for Brother DR630 DR-630 LY-BR-DR630

This printer drum was a drop in replacement for our Brother MFC LC2700DW B/W laser printer. It fit perfectly and it worked as expected. The price was significantly below the cost of an OEM replacement, which was appreciated. However, we purchased our printer more than six years ago and the drum that came with it lasted until Jan 2022, so 4+ years. Now, 1 1/2 years after installing this replacement drum, our prints are beginning to fade and it is not because the toner is low. Nor is it because we have been printing at a higher rate. So, it appears we will have to again replace the drum. The bottom line here is that the drum costs significantly less than an equivalent Brother brand drum, but if it must be replaced three times more frequently, I am not sure it saves any money.

It worked great at the beginning but stripes begin to be shown after 1 year usage for home printing.I also see stripes on its roller.I've used the original part for several years and one year life time wasn't expected.

Drum works perfect with Brother printer. It Fixed vertical lines & horizontal lines on printed & copies. Great price. Prints like new printer.

I took a chance the first time I bought this drum unit.. Thought I would just send it back if it did not work …. The first one worked …I have used the drum and the refill unit at least 6 times … This product works …PERIOD…. Just SURPRISING IT WORKS AND IT IS A GOOD VALUE!!!!

The OEM drum costs almost as much as the printer, so you might as well buy a new printer unless you buy a non-OEM drum such as this one. I've had this drum for 8 months and have run about 3000 copies. It works great.

I've been using generic toner for my Brother printer for quite some time, and usually I have no issues. A while ago I purchased some generic toner and I soon began to see black streaks in the prints. I concluded it was likely due to the generic toner. I replaced that toner and it still had the same black streaks. I then looked at the drum and it was really dirty with ink all over it. I cleaned it with alcohol and it worked better for a while, but the streaks returned.Long story short, I replaced the drum with this generic drum and the printer is back in business printing like new.If you are having problems with black streaks on your prints or your drums life has expired I wouldn't hesitate on purchasing this replacement. It has worked well for me.

This was a good, cost effective option vs. buying a new Brother unit.HOWEVER!!! 1st time changing the toner after installing the new drum last year. Discovered that the drum cartridge must be removed, vs. just changing out the toner, as able to do with the original Brother drum. Odd design, :( rather inconvenient since the drum requires more care and attention to align and install correctly.Worth it?? Probably Yes, hard to argue with the much lower Linkyo price. But sure is a pain. Much prefer that design of the Brother drum design.

Easy install. Print quality is good. Only problem is it causes the printed sheet to come out with a folded crease in top right of paper. Using 20 lb paper which is what I used with the Brother original. Perhaps if using 24 or 28 lb paper it might be ok, but I don't know about that. Did read some other reviews that complained about the same thing.

Chewed up paper and wouldn’t print on both sizes. Not a good product.
