How long after I drop the pool rx in the skimmer basket should I take it out? Or do you leave it in permanently?

The PoolRx unit has a effective life of 12 months in the water. After the first 4-6 months you will need to add 1 PoolRx booster (#102001) per 20k gallons for the product to continue to work for the remaining life span of the unit. So NO absolutely do not remove the unit from the skimmer. It needs to remain in the pool for the minerals to continue to work.

can you use in lieu of filter cartridge? Pressure issues with cartridge hoping to use this instead.

No you cannot, this product is not a replacement for filter medium you still need a cartridge in your filter. Is the pressure issue you are referring to related to install of PoolRx or is it a ongoing issue? If it is related to install of PoolRx remember you always need to clean or backwash your filter prior to install of PoolRx unit or Booster and keep the pump running for at least 6-8 hours upon install. In some instances you may still experience a rise in pressure for several hours after install while the PoolRx minerals dissolve into solutiom. Once the minerals have dissolved your pressure will return to normal level.

The tds (total dissolved solids) level is too high & i was told to drain the pool. does poolrx still works at high tds without draining?

If your TDS level is 4,000 ppm or more you will need drain your pool and re-fill to lower your TDS level. This will allow PoolRx to work properly.

Have a pool 25'x 50' about 45,000 gallon how many PoolRx blue do I need ?

I would say 2-3 as mine is 15000 gallons and needed 1.
