UPDATE - After I wrote the original review of 2 stars due to failure, I was contacted by the seller and since the product was within the first year, they replaced the light for free. While it was not great that the light stopped working, I appreciated the quick response and replacement! I have changed my rating back to a 5 as the new product is working as expected.The product worked as advertised for 8 months, and then just stopped working. I tried to reset, and change outlet adapters, but nothing. While I'm not expecting a fantastic device, I would expect a longer lifespan than 8 months.

I bought this a couple of years ago specifically for use in Zoom meetings. It didn’t work for that at all! I couldn’t figure out how to set it up so it didn’t beam right in my eyes, and it reflected off of my glasses as well. But I have used it regularly since then for all kinds of things. It is so handy to be able to add light wherever I need it, and the ability to change the white light from cool to warm, and to make it more bright or dim makes it even more useful! I’ve used it to read, to build Lego sets, to do crafts, to add light to my work-at-home setup, etc.I even used it the last time I traveled- it was easy to stick in my suitcase. Highly recommend!

UPDATE 9/6/2022: After this review the company reached out and informed me of the 1 year warrantee and sent me a new one. Wonderful service! I got it yesterday and it's working great. Thank you!I've had this light for about 6 months. Powered by USB, this light worked fantastic in the begging. Different light levels, different light temperature options, etc. About a month ago the light would shut off in the middle of my calls. I would turn it back on. Then a minute later it would shut off. After a few attempts it would stay on. Then when I would go to turn it off. It wouldn't shut off. Now in order to turn my light off, I have to unplug it. The other options still work fine, but it's frustrating to have to unplug the light to turn it off. Then have to go through it going on and off a few times before it stays on. Too bad I am outside of my return window or I would exchange it. It's clearly defective.

Simple to use, easy to clamp onto my desk - simply perfect!

For the past five and a half months I have used the light a few times a week for a thirty minute meeting. The light has been stationary with the same setting and plugged into a USB port on my docking station. Today when I tried to turn it on, it lit briefly then went out. The buttons were still lit, but each time it did the same until the button lights went out too. Then the only thing that would get it to briefly light was reinserting it. I tried a powered USB hub to see if the issue was the USB port, but it does the same thing.Even when it worked, it wasn't a good source of light. No matter where I positioned it, it left shadows on my face and didn't have a good balance of too bright in my eyes to see my screen vs. too dim for people to see me. I settled for too bright in my eyes, which would have been unsustainable if I had more meetings. Perhaps that is the nature of such lights and laptop web cams... maybe two are needed so they can be set to lower brightness and eliminate shadows.The positives of the light were it was convenient to attach and position with a good clamp and long arm that didn't sag over time. It was easy to operate and had lots of setting options.I wish the manufacturer well and hope this was just a rare unit that lacked quality.

This is a good light with nice settings but it does not last long term. After about one year of use (1-2x/day) the casing on the buttons deteriorated and the buttons stopped working.

I like this light and it works for my needs but for some reason, it will not continue to work when plugged in for long periods of time. I envisioned leaving this plugged in at my desk so I can turn it off and on as needed but after a while (sometimes after an hour, sometimes after a few) it becomes unresponsive and won't turn on. To fix this, I unplug it for a few minutes and then plug it back in. I've tested it with multiple outlets which work for all of my other devices and no matter where I plug it in, I get the same issue. This works for me though since I can just plug it in as needed when I have a meeting, although it's annoying to have to crawl under my desk each time. I'm fortunate enough to not have back to back meetings everyday so this is not a big problem but if you need a camera light all day, I would buy something else. As for the light quality, the 3 types of light and brightness settings for each are great and versatile for different environments and the controls are easy to use and intuitive. I look great in my Zoom meetings instead of half my face covered in eerie shadow. Everything works well as expected except for the power issue I mentioned above.UPDATE: Does not stay on for more than 20min at a time anymore. I can't use this for most meetings that are 30min and definitely not any that are longer than that. Light is only good for short stints and only when you plug it in as needed. Wish I could return this and buy a better one. I'm reducing my 3* review to 2*.

I will say when i ordered this with only about 100 reviews not all being that great i was thinking to myself "Don't be defective and actually be bright" but gaht dam this thing is extremely bright if you need it to be the clamp is very strong the arm (I don't know what to call it one of the bending ones not a boom) is actually very sturdy it doesn't slowly move itself so this product for the price is amazing. I didn't rate battery life for obvious reasons it's USB-A powered you don't really have batteries in this, I'll update my review if I find it gets worse. the controller is minimalistic and to be honest its great it has a cycle button (to switch the lighting type) a '+' button to brighten the light and a '-' button to lower the brightness, and you cant forget the power button. the power cable isn't the longest but to be honest it doesn't need to be if you REALLY need length just use a USB extender there are plenty on amazon or newegg. a verbal example because i forgot to take a photo i turned it on in the pitch dark last night to test it's brightness and it lit my room up so much i could see my pug in my bed while I was in my chair. so yeah I don't leave reviews well, ever but this was something that didn't have a ton of reviews so i wanted to make sure people know its great for its price tag! -Nick

Bright light with adjustable colours and intensity and long battery life. Perfect for reading in a dark room with kids/ partner asleep. Super bendable and does not break easily.. love it!

First off, I got this lamp on sale. At the sale price I felt it was worth its price. Regular retail it seems too much.Pros - everything seems great. It's sturdy and holds in place. The flexible arm on the lamp holds in place and doesn't sag over time. The light on the lamp itself is fantastic. 10 different light levels and it lights up my whole office at 10. It's bright enough at 3 or 4 for me to work. The different light colours are great as well. It's a nice option when you want to switch to another colour that's easy on the eyes. Overall, this lamp is a great buy.Cons - usb cable could be a bit longer. Buttons on switch seem like they could break with the thin plastic that's on them. Recommend that you don't press with a nail or tip of finger as it leaves a mark on the button.Would I buy again? Yes, I would.
