Review updated July 2020. Possible security issue.
Okay so for this review I am going to discuss first the contents of the package then lead into brief set up then overall Youth and finally some extra stuff so let's get started first one I received the package it was not tape shot it was literally open so that anyone would be able to remove the contents so when you order this product I would highly advise having it shipped in Amazon Packaging. The package includes a mounting bracket where you can mount it to a wall or a ceiling very easily. It comes with a power cord which to me seems a little bit short however it is about standard size for them. I would recommend if you are mounting this on a ceiling to purchase some electrical wire and extend the cable or you could use a extension cord which I don't recommend because the power pack is a little bulky. This unit is very light and appears to be made of all plastic. It is a little bit larger than I expected which is not necessarily a drawback. On the back of the product on the base it has a Wi-Fi antenna and a lan port and the power port. Along with a MicroSD slot. On the bottom it has a QR code for the camera itself the username and password defaults and a reset button to reset the device. The instruction booklet that comes in the package is pretty well detailed how to set it up it is super easy as long as you follow the instructions there are three ways that this can be set up the easiest way is going to be with a wired cable the next way I would recommend would be through the Wi-Fi and the last Witch is a little more complex is AP setup. I have tried all three and they are all very easy as long as you follow the instructions the app for the Android is designed okay. Gives you basics with nothing special. I can verify 100% that this will connect to the motioneyeos software without any issues the rtsp address is rtsp:// your IP address/ 11. This works when adding a network am using motioneye software. One caveat which I did not like about it is that because this is a PTZ camera you lose the PTZ functionality when hooking it into motion eye I believe this may be caused from it being a china made camera. Not a huge deal as it still does work. The app has a two-way microphone basically intercom system built in which I was surprised is quite loud unlike other camera systems that I have witnessed. This would be great for a video doorbell or for a camera to put inside a child's room to monitor them. The night vision Works pretty decently outside it has approximately 30 to 40 foot range not bad but not great if you are going to use this I would recommend purchasing and IR spotlight they are approximately 15 to $25. Indoors there is absolutely no problem you can put this in any room and it is going to light it up so that you can see everything. To move the camera you're basically swiping the screen left right up and down it is a little bit laggy a little slow to respond in my personal opinion I think this unit would be much better off with an actual remote for the PTZ however it does still work fine with the app. It does have standard definition and a high-definition setting in the app you can record video and screenshot as well as have it alert you within the app when there is motion. Supposedly this does have FTP capability however I have not tried it nor have I tried the SD card storage as all of my recordings are being done through a separate software. This does work with a 3-g connection and higher although I would recommend using a much faster connection as it will be data-intensive and will cause your network to slow down considerably if there is many devices on your Wi-Fi currently I have tested this with 15 smart devices and the one cam and it does work rather well with very minimal lag. I have not tried this on a broadband connection however I will assume that the speed would be much better. I am only giving this for stars because they do not tell you anywhere the rtsp settings to access the camera from a different application or directly from the web. There are websites that's supply all of this information you just have to find it I did provide a basic one that does work with one piece of software that I have however you may have issues when using it with a different piece of software. Although I have not tried this yet supposedly you can connect many cams to the app I will probably purchase another two or three of these cams for various spots around the house they seem to work pretty decently for the price and the quality. Just a quick note the pictures that I provided with the night vision are actual pictures I was standing approximately 40 feet from the camera.UPDATE... so after approximately two weeks of use I've noticed that if there is no internet this camera stops working. In addition when it record video the playback is extremely choppy.. also in addition to this when I decompiled the application and inspected the Java code I did notice that this looks for specific Chinese websites. I would highly recommend that you not use this in a secured area or any area that could pose a security threat. Upon directly contacting company I was told they will not give out any information as to specific IP addresses for the camera so as a result of there non willingness to help out and explain themselves I have decided not to recommend this camera to anyone other than for a doorbell use or any non-secure area. In addition I did try it with the SD card and for some strange reason it lost any type of FTP ability . I'm not sure why this has happened . . I am reducing the rating to two Stars. I would recommend that if you are planning on using this this makes a really good intercom for a doorbell which is primarily what I'm using it for. Other than that I cannot feel comfortable recommending this product to anyone mainly because of the possible security flaw within the camera software itself. If they had been willing to cooperate and provide specific information about the software the IP addresses and have they shown cooperation I may have possibly recommended this product

Wait for the beep that is longer and different in tone from the other beeps. App on iPhone 6 Plus works fine for us!!!
I have to admit that I was afraid to buy this product because of some reviews here, and the majority of the reviews in the app about it not working on iPhones. But we decided to go ahead and give it a try anyways. The biggest reason to get the camera is that we have 3 small dogs (all rescues) that have separation anxiety, so we need the cameras to be able to see and talk to them when they start to panic. We use two old android phones, an iPad, and an iPod as cameras, all looking at different angles just so we're able to see everybody at all times. The dogs concentrate on one room when we leave but we still have one of the devices in another room just in case.We ordered on the 5th and it was delivered yesterday in the afternoon(1/9/18). We did the burn-in for 24+ hours to make sure it would hold without problems, and it worked perfectly. With our devices we would lose connection several times a day or they would turn off when the computer would go to sleep. They had to be connected at all times and we noticed how the two android phones were getting hot so, we decided to get a camera. The Tenvis' set up was pretty easy. It took exactly 5 minutes for the camera to stop beeping once turned on. We thought it was going to be just a few beeps (it beeps a few times then stops, but then keeps beeping) but the last beep is very different from the others and that lets you know that the camera is ready. If you try to connect to the WiFi during beeping process it will give you an error. After the beeping stops the WiFi set up is lightning fast. No port forwarding was necessary. We had other IP cameras that needed port forwarding, and that can be a headache when you don't know how to set it up. With the first camera we had to call our ISP to ask about port forwarding and they said we had to pay $19.99 extra every month for that (we did not know nothing about PF ) so we just hit the internet and figure it out ourselves, but that took an entire day because of how complicated the camera setup was. Also, the booklet tells you to scan the QRCode and we assumed it was the one in the booklet but it wasn't. It is the one IN THE BOTTOM OF THE CAMERA itself. The image is very good for a camera this price. The sound is also very good, and loud (we needed something that would allow the dogs to be able to hear us talking over all the barking and howling ).The motion sensor and notifications work really well. We did hit a tiny snag with GMail. We registered for email notifications but received a notification from google saying that allowing the app could bring privacy issues. I solved that by making another email account specifically for the app (takes less than 30 seconds), and was able to link the account without any problems. The ability to preset camera positions and just "call" them is a big plus that we weren't expecting. We will purchase two more cameras to have the entire apartment covered (bedrooms). We absolutely love this camera and have nothing to complaint about it so far. I will come back and update in a few weeks.BTW, the iPhone app is working fine with no problems. We have the 6 Plus model, and have no issues with the app.UPDATE:3/1/18I rarely write reviews but when I do I like to update them. So, here we go. We bought this camera back in January and received it on Jan 9th. The camera still works flawlessly!!! We've just had a tiny problem with it. It is set up high on the wall (ten inches from the ceiling) and we needed an extension cord to plug it in. The problem is that the connector that goes directly inside the camera can come loose if it gets tugged by accident so we need to check it out in case we had touched the cord extension. But that is just a heads up in case someone have the same issue. It is so much easier to have just one camera without having to be clicking around disconnecting/connecting to other devices and apps.Based on our experience with it, we totally recommend this camera, without a doubt!!!
