Sicce34895550: Jolly Submersible Heater, 10W

Needs adjustability
I like the size of the heater and that is was made by SICCE. I bought the smallest one I could get and I think it is still too much for my little tank. I have a Nano/Pico reef tank. Water needs to stay at or close to 78 degrees. Within 10-20 minutes of plugging this in it was at 80 degrees. I have basically taken it out of my tank and will hold onto it until winter. Maybe when the temperature within my house is colder the heater will come in handy. I had some concerns from the other reviews but wanted to give the product a chance.

Powerful for the size
I was surprised how powerful these were for the listed wattage. Especially the 20 watt. I ended up using the 20 watt connected to an Ink-bird controller in my fluval Spec 3, because as an "always on" type heater, it was way to powerful for my Spec 3. It was even too powerful for my 10 gallon FijiCube betta tank. The 10 watt heaters are nice as secondary heaters.

Works as advertised.
I have a 5.5 gallon tank, covered. My water temp hasn’t risen above 76 degrees and stayed consistent during the day and at night. I haven’t had a better experience with a water heater since using this one.

Small but needs some basic temperature control
Works well enough but I needed to pair it with a temperature regulator since I boiled about 20 fry in my nursery tank.

Not good for 10 Gallon Aquariums
Does not work up to 10gal. as it’s rated.I have a new 9 gallon tank and the temp has dropped to 68 overnight (luckily it isn’t stocked yet).

Beware that this does not have a thermostat
I cant imagine an application for a heater with no thermostat. I suppose if you keep your indoor space the same temp all year, you could get lucky and hit your target temp with one of these. Also will overheat aquariums with lids.

Don't buy, over heats tank as others have said
Heated by nano tank to 87 degrees. Tested the temp with two thermometers and to other tanks. What a waste of money. I also saw a youtuber say great things about this brand, but I won't be buying Sicce again. Not jolly.
