It's a nice metal whistle with the silicone cover for mouth comfort. The necklace isn't bad either, it doesn't feel as cheap as it may look. The only issue is for lifeguarding, the silicone cap may pop off underwater and doesn't float. But it's not bad.

I get so many of calls that I don't want. A long time ago I found out that if you blew a whistle into the phone, they will remember not to call you back. I had a plastic one but it does make the greatest sound as a good old-fashioned metal one! This is just like the one my husband and I used to wear on our uniforms. Best of all it's made in the USA!!!

The cover is nice to have because this thing hangs on my lanyard during my childcare job probably getting crop dusted by children's flying spit all day. Love it!

The sound is loud enough to be heard on elementary playgrounds, the color is very bright, and the material of the lanyard and the rubber dust cover are very durable. It's overall a great buy. Because it is made of metal, it is on the heavier side, but nothing that wears my neck out. A plastic whistle would be lighter, but the quality of sound would be lower.

This is a well made whistle and the cover is a nice extra. I tested it and it is very loud, just ask my dogs and husband! The different colors are a nice tough so it is easy to personalize and see at a glance whose whistle is whose. It works fine with the cover on, too.
