ZEROplusTelescopic Friction Stay for Windows, All Metal Restrictor, White, Z107/RUZT120WE

Fitting is a bit of a mind bender, sorting out fixing position so as to get the right opening radius etc but that's not the units fault. It's a nice clean lines solution but not as good as the price is big.The description clearly says fixing screws are included - they are not. All you get are 2 grey finish short 4mm machine screws to fix the angle bracket to the pivot for outward opening.I'd buy it again if it were reasonably priced but now I've seen and fixed one, I wouldn't buy another at the current price.

The stay can be locked very easily so the door is ajar (keeping our cat inside!) but it doesn't stop somebody getting out - it isn't a lock that'll break, or trap somebody inside.I found the instructions unhelpful and hard to read (tiny printing and obscure numbers). I also needed to get the stay set up so the door would open to at most 100 degrees. I had to do some school trigonometry to work out all the screw positions so it'd work properly.

These are made of metal and of good quality and build. A pleasure to see these days that they have gone for quality of materials and build that work well and will last. Does the job well, easy to adjust the tension, great product all round.

Bought for a single wooden side door on a garage.Works ok with no wind but the slightest breeze overrides the stay.Tightening up the adjustment has some effect but when at a useful friction level it judders.That and being ineffective in a slight breeze meant a return for me.Don't buy.

After wasting hours visiting various building suppliers I found this product on Amazon.l have to say the picture did look as if the fixing mouldings were plastic and the door that it was going to be installed on is susceptible to strong winds.when I received the arm and after further examination found the fixings to be metal castings .To sum up a good product at a very reasonable price delivered very promptly.

I bought the smallest size for a 40cm wide bathroom window, but didn’t install it. It would have fitted and I am sure it would have worked as intended - I cannot fault the product. But it just looked too heavy and industrial for such a small window. I bought an alternative which was much more slender and elegant.

All I’d say is it’s quite basic and if you need the adjust it the a very slow close to stop kids slamming doors it looses its smooth closing action and become quite shuddery

I had to fit by trial and error, third time lucky, pythagoras no help, now have 4 screw holes in door and frame. After my first review Amazon contacted the seller who sent me the missing instructions at once. I intend to buy 3 more of this good product.
