Worked very well for the transition over to a martingale collar. I didn't need to pull in the least. Great collar.

Great quality, works well.
This is an excellent collar and works well as specified. This was a last resort for us, as we had tried the head harness, slip chain collars, flat regular collars… and harness… nothing worked at all. Very stubborn dog and the first dog ever we had a problem with leash training. Glad that we read all the information and watched videos on how to properly fit the collar and work with our dog. We have a very sweet, but lunging, pulling, muscular Australian Shepherd boy… very, very smart, and obedient in most ways, but would NOT stop pulling. The collar enables us to walk him easily, and saves his neck, trachea, and larynx from being damaged.. Excellent quality, very well made,. We ordered the quick release collar and it is easy to put on and take off. We hesitated for a long time getting this collar, as it does look scary, but is actually much kinder to the dog than choke chains or even regular flat collars.

Collar amazing, BAD quick release (my dog opened it day two)
The Collar itself is awesome and this is the ONLY brand I will buy.We ordered the quick release for added convenience and that is a mistake. It is actually too easy to open. We removed the quick release and put on a proper screw/lock mini carabiner.Honestly hate not giving this product a stellar review... I have used these exclusively for well over ten years and it is the ONLY training collar I use. We have a separate regular collar for free runs and harnesses for K9 training... I think the quick release mechanism (while a brilliant idea) did not meet the high standard consistent with the rest of the product/brand.That being said, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy the regular collar again (no quick release) and save some $$$ (reg collars are cheaper). These really are amazing collars, the quick release seems great in theory, but (constructively) I think you need to revisit the engineering of mechanism/strength of the release. It’s honestly a bad design and way to easy to release, then the whole collar is open.Wishing I kept with the original design which have served me well with 3 different dogs well over ten years!Honestly hate giving a poor review of the product, but this was highly inconsistent with my past experiences with this brand... of the dog can put some pressure on the release and it opens, this is no longer a safe/secure training collar. But the quick release (different design/better testing/sturdiness) is a great idea.Sincerely hope a new design for that comes out... honestly I would consider trying again if I could see video of the mechanism.
