3M Filter Bag Adapter 20453, 1 in External Hose Thread x 1 in ID

Necessary part for orbit sander.

interfaced with rigid shop vac hose and 3m xtract sander.

I've had this for a few months now and it certainly works to get you connected to a dust collection system but it tends to back out/come loose when using for an extended period of time. Not a huge deal, just have to keep an eye on it or your hose will pop off

This allows the end of the Bosch dust extractor to be connected directly to the tool. It's a tight fit, bit the Bosch nozzle will slide over the end of the non-threaded portion of this fitting.

The product does work but the photo shows the adapter with both ends with serration's...not so.It is also highly recommended that you tape the adapter on to the sander. WO the serrations it will slide/fall off and make a mess. Taping both ends to the sander and the bag keeps that from happening. Other than that it does a good job of capturing the dust. Still recommend a mask be used.

What I liked - it fit my expensive Xtract sander. What I didn't like is that I had to purchase it separately. For a sander that costs almost $500 3M should have at least included a shop vac/bag adapter.

It functions as described.
