I have a half a dozen of these that I use in safes to control humidity. The only downside is that It is hard to see the changed color that indicates that they need to be heated in a 300º oven for 3 hours. And a 300º oven is not something you want to do for 3 hours in the summer.

Not very effective. I have 4, 2 in each guitar case. They do not lower the humidity more than 3%. When humidity is 60% or more.

This product appears to be doing what it's supposed to do. I placed one dehumidifier in each of my guitar cases. The humidity in both has dropped from ~64% to ~55% within three days (according to two different, un-calibrated digital hygrometers). The dehumidifiers are a good size for this application. They fit the headstock compartments of my cases perfectly. Double-sided tape seems to keep them in place, though something more robust might be needed if I traveled more. They add no noticeable weight to the cases. I have not tried re-charging them yet. Overall, I'm satisfied with this purchase.

I have only been using this dehumidifier for a month, but so far it has done an excellent job. We live in Florida where humidity is a real concern for our camera gear, so I have placed a dehumidifier in each of our camera bags. The real test will be over the summer when humidity levels are typically in the 80-90% range, and I will adjust my review accordingly at that time.

It would be great to build in a latch system on both sides of the case. That way when dropped you dont have a massive cleanup on your hands.

Seems to work as described. I keep one in enclosed container with prescription pills, and another in my beard trimmers case. The one in the beard case I had to "rejuvenate" per the instruction on the front. Worked well and they're back to their orange color (white beads mean to bake). Seems they must be working as intended.These are best in an enclosed container where the moisture will be centralized. Don't expect it to defog your car (not for long at least). This is a perfect product when used as designed.

I purchased a large fireproof and waterproof safe, but read that there were several complaints about the humidity inside. This item has nullified the problem, but requires periodic heating to recharge (about every two months). would buy again.
