Pros: Cuts fast and easily, wide range of adjustments for thickness, easily handles fairly large potatoes and other veggies. Blades are sharp and very well protected so it is safe even for kids. Much safer than the regular shredder! Fairly easy to clean even though you can't disassemble it.Cons: You can wear yourself out pretty good (remember to switch hands regularly) after doing enough potatoes for a big batch of hashbrowns (set thickness about midway between 0 and 1 and it makes it just about right). Not ideal for cutting sticky stuff like cheese or frozen stuff so keep it to apples, cucumbers, celery, carrots, beats, and other non-mushy stuff.I did not test it with tomatoes but am sure it would work on firm tomatoes.

Works pretty well. The design is a little tricky to master. Turning the little flaps on the back is not very intuitive but probably once I use it a little more I’ll get the hang of it. Seems to do the job with not too much effort.

This is pretty nifty! I used it to cut potatoes and make scalloped potatoes, which were all the same size. It was so quick and so easy.

I've had regular mandolines in the past, but was always a bit nervous about using them because of my fingers being so close to that super-sharp blade. But this upright mandoline is incredibly safe. You fingers aren't in any danger. It's easy to use -- and fun. It's awesome for slicing -- you can determine how thin or thick you want the slices, and they all come out with exactly the same thickness. And I love using the julienne setting to cut potatoes into perfect french fries, all with the same thickness. It's awesome.

This slicer has a few different settings/functions which is nice. You slice, julienne, and dice, however you have to turn different knobs on the back. And to dice you have to run the product through twice. I love that it has a tube feeder and level so your hands never need to be near the blade, however, the shoot is small and so is the blade space on top.I tried doing potatoes but many were too big to fit in the shoot. So this will be great for smaller fruits and veggies but bigger ones will need some finessing.It has a bit of suction it keep I place while using. It is mostly plastic so I'm not sure about durability. I have only used it a few times as it was a bit disappointing.

This slicer is truly a game changer! It slices vegies as thin as one could want. I love making Japanese cucumber salads and this does it in record time. Very well made, blades are sharp and settings ranging from ultra thin to thick. So easy to clean up as well. Directions are somewhat confusing. Had a difficult time figuring out how to slice until I watched the video. HIghly recommend the video as it really is all about the tab settings which is clearly explained in the video. Saves sooooo much time in the kitchen , slicing, dicing, making strips etc. HIGHLY recommend!
