GREAT FOR WATCHING TV!
Have used TV Ears for over ten years because I could not find any other alternatives for my nearly deaf father and husband. I was disturbed by the static that was always present in the ear phones. Finally found this product and tried it out on my very skeptical husband who was insisting I return it because the TV Ears still work. He loved it the minute he tried it on! It is a keeper.First it was easy to connect to the TV and the cords were long enough to reach to the set from the opposite side of the TV.Second the sound was beautiful...even turned all the way up I could hear no static.Third the headset is much more comfortable than the ear plugs. Soft covers muffle outside noise and they are not heavy on the head.Fourth the headset sits easily on the charger without any question if they are charging. The signal light is very visible from across the room.Fifth the cost is much lower than we were paying for the TV Ears.

An absolute garbage.
I have few issues with this. The item is not listed as refurbished on used, and yet I received a half-baked package with a plastic bag wrapping it, no manuals, batteries were installed already ( and drained out, failed to recharge, I might add), few cables seemed to have been just thrown in a haste. The sound quality is acceptable, but not as good as couple of others I purchased. Also claims to be auto-charging with the charging station, but amazingly you'd still fails to charge the batteries that came with the unit, and now I have my doubts about the whole charging claim. Some of us don't have the time to experiment.I would recommend Sennheiser RS120 Headphones over this one.Edit: This now hard to use, borderline unusable. The unit says batteries are fully charged, and I power on headphones, few seconds later I hear a beep, then around a minute two beeps and it powers off by itself. Even after a full re-charge.Randmly loses contact with the base unit and all I hear is static. I have to disconnect from power source, leave for few minutes, re-connect.This is unacceptable.Tried to contact manufacturer. Their site does not even list this. Not even in the support section, managed to find a link on their side to a PDF with generic instruction in it.This is not a professional product/company. Unfortunately, it is too late for me to return this.I am now checking with my credit card company to see if I can do something about this.If you want to keep your sanity and not waste your money, STAY AWAY FROM THIS. Look somewhere else.Until they get their act together, I recommend you stay away from this manufacturer too.

Nice, but needs a wall mount feature.
These work well, and now my husband doesn't need the television cranked up. (I have hypersensitive hearing to his partial deafness.) It's a relief for both of us.I do however have a qualm with being unable to mount it on the wall. My husband did manage to wall mount it, with something of his own design. But it's not as nice as having some built in way to do it..

SOUND QUALITY IS AWESOME BUT SOMEWHAT CUMBERSOME!
I purchased 2 sets of these RIF6 Wireless Headphones to replace my old Sony Wireless Headphones. The sound quality of this set I believe is far superior to the Sony headphones. With Sony I had to be directly in front of the transmitter or the sound was muted or a lot of static. With this RIF6 I can basically go throughout my house and sound is crystal clear. What is most bothersome about this headphone is the cumbersome size of the ear pads. They are so much larger than what appears in the advertising photo. Every time the headphone is cut off the volume has to be reset for the next use. Unlike the Sony, the transmitter it works interchangeably with both sets of headphones in different rooms hooked up to different TV sets. The RIF6 headphone only allows you to hear sound from the transmitter it came in the box with. With age my hearing has diminished and trying to hear the TV with the air conditioner running in the background creates a need for high volume on the TV set. The wireless headphones allows me to mute the volume and hear a crystal sound at it lowest volume and also muting out the background noise from the A/C. This is the only problem with buying a product online because a lot of times the hassle of returning a product you often keep a less than perfect purchase.

Clear sound comfortable to wear easy to setup
These are awesome! I usually have to turn the volume up on stuff I’m listening to higher than others prefer it and with these I can hear the dialog very clearly without maxing them out. Using at night in bed while wife is asleep I just grab them from charging stand and push button to turn on, mute the receiver so no sound comes from speakers and enjoy my shows in bed. The headphones fit completely over my ears, making them much more comfortable than my Beats headphones. The headphones auto turn off after some amount of time if I fall asleep without turning them off. I think it happens when it stops detecting noise. Since I stream my shows that means no noise after the show ends. I would recommend getting an HDMI audio extractor with this to make setup very simple. They’re cheap and setup requires almost no thought.

Way to much work to get these to work. Instructions are bad.
I think I should trust my first instinct and return these but I will give them a chance. The instructions need to be updated. I have a newer chromecast Toshiba so I expected to have to but the adapter the instruction mentioned. Also, and this could be me, when I first set up the headphones, I had the cable connected to the TV and the headphones sitting to charge. They never charged. After searching on the internet I ran across a post stating that the cable should not be plugged in to the TV for the initial charge. I finally got them to charge. Then I attempted t get them to produce sound. After several days and attempts to get the headphones to work, I was finally able to get them to work using the cable that has the headphone end. The first time it worked, the sound was terrible. It kept going in and out. I repeatedly plugged it in and out until finally! Clear sound. It just should not be this hard to get headphones to work.
