Great for those of short stature
I am elderly and 4' 11". I have spent my life on tip-toes to reach things and climbed onto the edge of a tub to adjust the nozzle of the shower massager for years. I asked my husband to install a grip bar to prevent me from falling now that my knee is damaged and he opted to install this extender to bring the shower nozzle lower. I didn't want it, thought it would make me appear disabled. First time I used it and found how easy it was to reach and adjust it without effort, I nearly cried and wished I had been using something like this item for the past 50 years! It's easy to install and wonderful!

Great Device to Lower or raise shower head
This item is well made and does exactly what its supposed to do. Its metal so it is very sturdy and well made.

Easy to install
Original shower head was installed on a fixed pipe and used this in two showers to help direct the water away from the door where we had leakage. Works great except that it is slightly smaller than the original pipe so the pressure is less.

Excellent for disabled on shower chair
Like that my wife able to reach shower control now. It is awesome my disabled self able to reach control from my shower bench. I am a disabled veteran with limited use of my legs.

Doesn't seal without a lot of sealtape
It seems like the threads are too large for my shower stub. I put a rubber O-ring and screwed it on till hand tight, like a shower head should be. Turned the water on and it doused the whole bathroom. It took almost an entire roll of seal tape before it finally stopped leaking. Works now. It needed a lot of tape before it stopped wiggling on the stub, a dozen more wraps to get it to stop dripping.

You get what you pay for
Listen to the negative reviews, they are there for a reason. I was hopeful but now I have to waste time returning this. Will it install crooked? Yep, and it'll face right into your shower curtain. If you turn it more to avoid that then it sticks up and looks even worse. Or you'll break the rubber seal inside by giving it that half turn that was needed to tighten it. So you get a crooked, leaky shower arm. It also does not support heavier shower heads well, I had to make sure the adjustment knob was super tight which makes it hard for others to adjust to their liking.Positives? It looks nice when not installed, and the installation is easy...twist on, get upset at the defect, twist off. Return.
