Lots of flash but great scale.
Wish more wooden sailing ships were of this scale

test your skills and I am a model builder
Well all the parts were there. Nice plastic cast in brown and white. Plan on alot of paint on this one. The problem is the masts cant hold the weight of the plastic sails. The rigging is a challenge for any model builder. The directions your on your own. a $15 dollar lesson on model building. only 10 inches long can make it tedious. I had fun

Very Small Model
Hadn't put a model ship together in 40 years. Last one I did was the Spanish Galleon and it took me 4 months. This model is very small and the directions are not very helpful but you can figure it out and al the parts fit fine for me. It does require a lot of painting. I would just paint and let dry overnight then paint again and let dry overnight. Same with assembly, glue and clamp, let dry overnight, glue and clamp, let dry. I did have to search the web for pictures of this modem from differant angles to try to figure the rigging out. There was plenty of rigging though so you can be generous with it when tying. It looks pretty decent.

This kit stinks.
I have been building models for years and this has got to be the worse one that I have seen. The instructions are very bad, there is no painting guide. As a whole I would not recommend this kit to anyone.

Be careful
It took almost 3 weeks for it to get here, so the anticipation was high...lol... I was never so disappointed in my life. I thought it would be a lot bigger then it was..an inch wide x maybe 8 inches long....For $65, it was a stupid bye. Never again

This ship barely kept afloat.
It is ok as a first model ship for a child to build which is what my nine year old buddy did in a very short period of time. There is no challenge to it, not even for a child. Incidentally, for what you receive the price is too high.
