Clean carpet, clean scent!
This cleaned remarkably well! I bought it after researching its environmental status. I have 2 cats who sniff everything. I also have asthma, and even mild scents can send me for my inhaler. So, I wanted this carpet cleaner to be strong enough for a busy rural household, safe for my pets and my lungs, and not leave a floral or chemical odor behind. This did the job. It didn't leave behind a residue or odor, either, just a clean carpet. This is my 2nd bottle.

Good natural alternative to other carpet cleaners
I try to shampoo the carpets in my apartment regularly but the Bissell/Hoover brands had such a strong scent every time I would use them. I also worried about my cats being affected by the scent/chemicals. I love other Biokleen products so I decided to try the carpet shampoo. It has a faint scent in the bottle but I didn't notice any scent while shampooing the carpet. Like other Biokleen products, it is VERY concentrated. The first time I used it (in my Hoover Smartwash), there was a lot of foam in the dirty water tank. The second time I used it, I filled the solution reservoir with half cleaner/half water which worked much better. I might even dilute it a little more next time, so I think this container will last me a long time. The carpet feels soft and looks fresh after drying, with the other brand cleaners sometimes the carpet would feel stiff even with rinsing. I love that it has more natural ingredients and is safe to use with pets.

Great for asthma and baby, not great for stains
Update:I have gone back-and-forth with this cleaner it’s a big amount so it last a while. Final thoughts:The best ever safe carpet cleaning potion: a generous pour of this probably equaling about three cap fulls several heavy squirts of blue Dawn dish soap plus about a gallon of water boiling hot mix it up. You can pour that directly into your carpet cleaner or spray directly on the carpet and scrub seems to completely take out stains almost instantly, food stains, cat puke stains, for everything. When used by itself it was not strong enough (pic above) but added to soap and hot water it was great and gets it all out ( no pic)! Love that it’s safe and non-toxic for cats and baby

Exceeded my expectations!
I use my carpet shampooer occasionally for general rug cleaning and to clean up after pet mishaps. I have to admit, it has been a while since I last shampooed our carpets. The last time I bought rug shampoo, I couldn't find anything natural. I was therefore delighted to find this online. I use other biokleen products around the house, and after reading the good reviews, decided to give this a try. I wanted something natural, because my dog and cats spend so much time on the carpets. This shampoo did an outstanding job of lifting off dirt and grime, even in filthy high traffic areas. (I used double the amount of shampoo recommended per gallon of water in those spots.) It took out stains that were there when we moved in (and which two professional cleanings did not fully eradicate). It was just like an infomercial -- I ran my carpet cleaner back and forth a few times over one particularly dark area, and a bright green stripe (the natural carpet color) appeared amidst the brown on either side. It was like magic! It also smells great, with no chemical or perfume-y odor. I am absolutely thrilled to have found this product. The only "downside" is that it creates a few suds, which the commercial shampoos don't do. But I would gladly have suds over the chemicals found in other cleaners.Overall, I am very happy with this product.

Biokleen Natural Carpet Cleaner
I bought this to clean some really filthy rugs. It is American made and cruelty free, both very important to me. The scent out of the bottle is mildly citrusy and light. On the rug the scent disappears, leaving only “clean” behind. The product does a great job. Had to go over the rug I did twice (I said it was filthy) but the product did what it was supposed to do and I didn’t have to use a lot. I followed the instructions for a rental machine even though I used my own machine and that seemed to be right. It rinsed clean and the fibers are soft and fluffy. I can recommend this carpet cleaner. If you have pets and are cleaning up spots, it does fairly well, but pretreatment is probably a good idea. Biokleen makes those too, as well as deodorizers. I didn’t get either and think for the next rug I probably will get the spot treatment.

This stuff is GREAT
I have used other name brand products for many decades to clean my carpets but once I "stumbled" upon this I put all those aside and waited for this product to arrive as I ran out. This is remarkable and I would recommend it highly. A little pricey but what isn't these days.

I was let down
I was so hyped about this product since I do house cleaning and look for more natural products. It didn't tackle stains that well or lift out smell. I found that even after giving a carpet a couple passes with the carpet shampooer that the carpet still had a smell. I will be buying another product in the future. Bissel cleaner works better.

Made Carpets Look New Using Bissell unit.
Works great, 16 year old green carpet looks new. Yea, I said green. It does not leave a chemical clean smell and based on that, I'm guessing it's not that great at deodorizing. I used 1.5 caps mixed with water in the cleaning solution reservoir and straight HOT tap water in water tank. Boy was I dumping out mud from the unit. I will buy again for sure. One bottle will probably get my whole house done, would take numerous bottles of the carpet cleaner brand. For those who stay on top of carpet cleaning, this stuff can really be diluted down beyond instructions. For those who don't like me, it still works darn good. Just don't expect a strong smell like cleaners such as Hoover, Bissell, etc. You will have clean carpet but the odor won't scream to your company "Hey, I cleaned the carpet today!"I want to get a Zep bottle to store a solution in for quick spills.
