iMicroPure USB Digital USB2.0 Speaker System (Black)

My laptop moves around a lot. When I park it on my desk at home, I "dock" it with a USB hub to connect everything I need (keyboard, mouse, printer, scanner, optical drive, external hard drive, LAN adapter) with just a USB cable and a cable for my monitor. If I wanted to use external speakers, that means another cable and a more cluttered desk. But not any more!For the price, I had pretty low expectations for these speakers. The convenience of USB won out over the desire for good sound quality. Once I hooked them up, though, I was blown away how much better they sounded than I expected. They're certainly not audiophile quality but you're not paying an audiophile price. These little speakers sound much better than the standard desktop speakers (3.5mm jack, AC adapter) they replaced.Volume is certainly not an issue - quite the opposite, actually. They're pretty loud at the lowest volume setting. Anything over 50% is really blaring. For working at my desk, though, they're perfect. Here's the rundown:Pros:- Great sound at at lower volumes- Really loud for such small speakers- No 3.5mm jack needed- No AC adapter required- Small but solid- Cheap!Cons:- Sound gets distorted at 50% volume or higher- No headphone jack- Blue light behind volume button flashes when any sound is playing...Overall I'm very pleased and I'd recommend them to anybody looking for a convenient speaker setup for your desk.

I bought this set of speakers because my old analog speakers were dying and I really wanted to move to USB speakers. Don't expect these to sound like $300 Bose speakers...but for less than $15 these speakers get the job done in style.Pros: - the price - USB (no need for batteries or external power cord...takes power off of your USB connection). - More than acceptable soundCons: - I didn't buy these speakers a long time ago!Technical Comments:I am running these speakers on a POWERED USB hub (Gear head brand) and they work great. I have not tried them on an unpowered hub. In general, I've had too many problems with USB devices on unpowered hubs...so I just use powered ones and no issues.Blue Screen Of Death (BSOD) Adventure...DON'T PANIC!When these speakers arrived, I plugged them in, the driver was automatically installed and all looked good. However, every time I tried to route sound to them (using the "test" button from the Windows Control Panel/Sound, or from any application) my Windows 7 64-bit install crashed with a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD).As I suspected, the problem had nothing to do with the speakers, and had everything to do with the USB drivers in use by my motherboard (which happens to be a Gigabyte Z68MA-D2H-B3 motherboard). I simply searched the Gigabyte web site for the latest USB drivers, installed them, rebooted my system, and all was well.I highly recommend these speakers if you are looking for an inexpensive but more than passable set of speakers.If you are looking for high fidelity...well...they are quite good for the price...I would buy these speakers again in a heartbeat.

These speakers are great! I have a Windows 7 x64 system.PROS:- Power and audio both through USB port. No separate audio cable needed.- USB installation Plug and play was extremely easy. Just plugged in, allowed driver to load, and it started working.- Amplification is sufficient for laptop use (i.e. presentations, casually listening to music while you work). For these types of applications, speaker volume can actually be turned up to the point of being too loud.- Software driver automatically installs separate volume control, so when using keyboard volume controls, it adjusts the speaker volumes (not the system volume).- Frequency response seems to be pretty good. Seems to cover low and highs fairly well.- No static noise emitted, even when volume turned all of the way up.- Plenty of cable between laptop and speakers and between speakers.- Great for the price.- Does not implement absurd "futuristic" design with super bright and annoying LED's.CONS:- For those that are looking for use with other devices, it does not implement a 3.5 mm audio plug. So it will not work for an MP3 player or iPhone. This was not a problem for how I was using it though (with a laptop).- Will not give really low frequencies (for dance music and rap). But this was not a deal breaker for me, as I mostly got these for just casual listening and presentations.

I bought these because my sound suddenly was not doing the voice portion of the input on my pc. Since I could not determine if it was a problem with the sound output from the computer, the speakers themselves, or something else (given what I had on hand) I thought this would eliminate both the speakers and sound output problems. They worked for reproducing the voice portion, as well as all the rest. While I would not claim high fidelity out of the speakers, they are pretty darn good considering the price. (For great low end you will need something else, its sadly just a problem of physics at that point.) So if you are looking for great quality speakers for listening to music, look elsewhere (stereo systems and speakers have come down a lot in price unless you want audiophile quality) . However, for general computer work and regular games it works great for the money.

-Bien yo compre estas bocinas pensando que tendrían una conexión 3.5 pero no es asi ya que solo cuentan con un usb para ambas cosas (alimentación y entrada de audio).-Su sonido no es tan fuerte pero si tiene una buena calidad.-Son compatibles con las consolas de ps3 y ps4 pero como digo el sonido no es muy fuerte.

Que su pequeño tamano no te engañe, estas bocinitas usb suenan bastante bien, el unico inconveniente fue que el cable usb es algo corto para lo que quiero, pero para una lap esta perfeto

The sound is tinnier than I expected but you get what you pay for. Plays fine otherwise.
