I live in the city and our back porch became home to a mourning dove family last year. It was not magical, it was tragic. In addition to the trauma we endured, our back porch was also covered in several breeds of bird feces. This year, we and our neighbors decided to take preventative measures. These whirly-gigs, in conjunction with some mirrors, have kept all the birds at bay thus far. Our porch has now been clean for at least a month, and we don't expect to suffer the loss of any baby birds this spring. I'm impressed with how well they have worked.

We get lots of unwanted birds on our patio and got these for their supposedly bird detraction. I honest believe that out bird population has gone up and the flash from them is an attraction. So , if you want to attract birds, hang these up.

I wish these did something. They are kinda pretty when the wind blows but don't seem to have done anything to mitigate birds in my garden.They've seem to held up to the weather so far this year but the string they are on is garbage so plan on replacing that.

I was a little apprehensive about these, but they WORK! I’ve had a constant battle of birds crapping on my porch when they land on the ledge under our pergola. I hung a couple of these and NO MORE BIRD POOP! I 100% recommend these.

Was sick and tired of bird doing their business all over our new patio furniture. Started searching around and found these dangly things on Amazon. Was VERY skeptical of them initially, but lo and behold, they work. Now a bird on the patio is a rare occurrence...maybe once every 3-4 days versus 2-3 birds every hour throughout the day.Totally worth trying out...worked for me.

I am trying these bird scare rods on wood peckers who are eating a hole in my oranges. They are reflective and bright and in the wind will bounce making a jumping and moving shape. The movement and reflective light should keep have those birds thinking twice about eating this fruit and look someplace else for dinner.

Light weight, would be better if hole in ends were bigger to attach a swivel hook. Doesn't scare birds, black birds are to smart. But they look pretty.

Had birds destroying my boat. Hung these all around the fly ridge, and the birds moved on to another boat. That boat soon bought these too, and they have moved elsewhere. The shiny nature, the motion and even the noise are effective at driving away birds.
