A tasty, easy way for early and often allergen exposure
EDIT January 2020: SpoonfulOne appears to have listened to the feedback from their customers and the size of the puffs has been reduced to be better for infants. I have taken a new picture and added it for reference. The left puff is the new one compared to the right puff which is the older one.ORIGINAL REVIEW:As the aunt of two nieces with food allergies, when it came to having my own child, I had a lot of anxieities about potential food allergies. Following the latest guidelines of early and often, we introduced all of the allergens to my son methodically and I carefully planned out all his meals to make sure he got regular exposure to all of the major allergens. Let me tell you, it got so overwhelming. I had this huge checklist spreadsheet which would alert me if it had been too many days between any of the allergens... I was driving myself crazy with this. We did use the Ready Set Food packets in his bottles to help reduce how often I had to think about cow's milk, peanuts, and eggs, but let's be honest - it's really hard to make sure shellfish is in your 8 month old's diet twice a week! So even though they are pricey, I decided to make the leap and try the allergen puffs by SpoonfulOne when he was about 8 months old. And I have never looked back.We have only ever tried the strawberry flavor, so I can't speak to the other flavors, but this one is quite nice. Of course I tried them myself if for no other reason than sheer curiosity, and they're pretty bland. They definitely don't taste fishy, which is what I was curious about. For infants, we found the size was just too big. They're slightly bigger than a dime, which is really big for little mouths. They're also pretty crunchy and don't melt in your mouth quickly like some puffs. We had to break them in half for him until he was closer to 12 months old. See the attached picture for reference. An entire package of puffs really is a lot of puffs for an infant who is still nursing or taking bottles as their primary source of food. I was confident switching to these really only to supplement the food I was already giving him while still making some reasonable effort to keep the allergen foods in his regular diet. I wouldn't try to use these exclusively as the only exposure to the allergens. And also keeping food variety in your little kid's diet is a good thing anyway. We all know the quesadilla phase will hit at some point, but at 10 months they're such sweet, trusting little gremlins who will still eat anything put in front of them. Now that my son is 18 months, he easily plows through a packet and they're the only "puff" product in our house. The packets are a convenient size for on-the-go, so these tend to be a car/plane/mall/park snack. It's easy to aim for 2 a week without breaking the bank, and now that he is starting to have food preferences (and aversions), it gives me continued confidence that he is still getting exposure. Was he ever going to develop allergies if not exposed early and often? Who knows. But I like doing something that is proactive and also happens to be an easy, yummy snack. It's peace of mind and he sure likes them, so we'll continue purchasing them happily.

Good snack
I loved the concept for Spoonful One and we started off with the powder in our baby's purees. When she got older, we bought the snacks. She seemed ok with them - didn't love them or hate them. I think she lost interest in them after awhile. Not sure if it was the flavor. I tried one and it tasted ok.I still recommend the Spoonful One products for any parent to a baby/toddler.

Tastes good and so easy to use!
Like this product! I bought the mix-in powder (another brand) and found it hard to use. It didn’t taste good and my little would refuse things I mixed it in. Then I found these and she seems to really enjoy them! I tasted one too and the really aren’t bad! Thanks for any easy to use product! As a busy mom of littles, we needed this!

my baby loves these
my baby loves these , really good for practicing pincher grasp as well , expensive in my opinion I get it’s to introduce allergens but still pricey for not as many bags as you’re getting but I tried them myself and the taste was good

Baby loves these and so far we are allergy free
My husband has a tree not allergy so we have been giving these as a daily treat since baby was about 5 months. He loves eating these from his little snack container (Munchkin stainless steel) and has been doing that since about 8 months. We prefer these over the powder and oat crackers, even at 1+ years old. The banana and strawberry flavors are great and better than the pumpkin/tomato/blueberry flavors because those have a little powder on the puffs that gets messy. The oat crackers are a bit crumbly. We prefer these snacks to ones at the grocery store.

Lots of puffs in one package. Organic!
Took baby a bit to start liking these, likes banana better than strawberry, even with her two front teeth it still takes her a while the gum them down by rolling around her mouth. Not a melt in the mouth puff. Tried at 6 months and again at 8. And she definitely does not go through one pack very fast! It’s like a toddler meal not toddler snack. Had to keep them in snack saver. Same pack has been open for two weeks. Don’t buy too much the first time you try! Might not go through them as fast as you think.Love that they are organic and more comprehensive for Allergens exposure than other products of same price with only three exposures (peanut, egg, milk).

Great taste, just pricey
We started the mix in packets (our pediatrician fully supports the early introduction of allergens) when our son started eating solids. Now that he does puffs and yogurt melts (7 months) we got these. We are now adding the strawberry puffs and he loves those. I even had my 7yr old niece try them and she they were yummy and was so grossed out when I told her there was fish in there lol so obviously you cant taste the allergens (I dont taste them either). The mix ins seemed to have a much nuttier flavor/scent but these seem to just be strawberry. I just wish they were less expensive!!!!!If you found my review at all helpful please hit the button below, thanks!
