Castrol Power1 4T 10W-50 Full Synthetic Motorcycle Oil, 1 Quart, Pack of 6

Great oil for a great price!

Wow wow is what I can say. Have a 2024 super meteor 650 by royal enfield. Up until now was using liquimoly 15w50 street and this time got this one based on reviews. Did the oil change and voila the moto runs like butter. Gear shifting has been impeccable very smooth shifting and engine noise has drastically reduced. Also vibration near to zero at high speeds. It's like life line for this vehicle. Still yet to measure mpg but was getting anywhere from 54-57mpg on liquimoly within cold/hot Texas Dallas weather. Will post edit once I drain a gas tank and post here. Update 06/22/26: it's been close to 800 miles on this oil. Amazing still the ride is good, heat dissipation is outstanding and still moto purrs while riding on highways and local. Getting around 57mpg on local Texas weather and roads.

I had my doubts when buying this product for my 2013 Harley Davidson Softail Deluxe, especially as I live in Qatar which is one of the hottest countries in the world. I asked about this product instead of the other dedicated "Castrol 06080 Power RS V-Twin 20W-50 4-Stroke Motorcycle Oil" because for some reason, Amazon does not ship this other product to Qatar! To make things worse, the HD dealer in Qatar won't sell me oil because they want to force me to make the oil changes at the Harley workshop which costs around 400 $US (No Thanks!). After getting mixed answers, I decided to go for it and finally after it arrived, I made the oil changes and the results were very satisfying. So far, this oil is doing great with the high temperatures during day and night and I get no overheating indications. The motor runs smooth and does not look to suffer even with short trips and plenty of traffic signal stops with engine idle. I believe that full-synthetic oils have remarkable capabilities especially when the correct viscosity is chosen. To get a well known brand such as Castrol is even more comforting and price-wise, it is among the most affordable. So there you go... Castrol RS 10W-50 4-Stroke Racing oil works just as well on 4-Stroke V-Twin engines and delivers good quality and performance. I recommend this product after a successful experience in extreme conditions.

My Ducati Monster 696 calls for 15W-50 Shell Advance Ultra, which is not available in the US. I've looked for equivalents and tried numerous different oils. I found a few like Silkolene that are JASO MA (for wet clutches) and xW-50 weight to protect the air cooled engine during the summer. However, with a 15W-50 or 20W-50 synthetic, the Ducati engine has a really hard time starting in cold temperatures. I always felt that a synthetic 5W-50 would probably be the best way to go for the Ducati engine by offering low viscosity in the cold to assist with cold starts, and the 50 weight to protect it during hot weather usage. The closest I could find is the Castrol 10W-50, which actually helped my cold start issue. I was able to start the bike at 19F ambient, which is actually too cold to ride comfortably unless you are a diehard biker and need to get your 2 wheel fix during the winter. What I still need to test is hot weather speed shifting. I tried Shell Rotella T6 5W-40 synthetic, which supposedly meets JASO MA, but caused my clutches to slip badly during WOT speed shifting. With the T6, I suspect the xW-40 was too light of an oil to prevent the clutches from slipping/grabbing. Once I drained the T6 and poured in M1 V-Twin 20W-50, the clutches worked properly. The M1 20W-50 is actually robust oil, but it is too thick for reliable cold starts, even when the ambient temperature is about 40F. Overall: 5/5 stars, actually a great price for what appears to be a robust oil. I wish they made more motorcycle oils in different weights like 5W-50 and 10W-50 in the US. I am hesitant to try 10W-40 in my Ducati because of my experience with the Rotella T6 5W-40.

Good oil

Was running motul 300v2. My engine is at WOT over half the time. Oil is cashed at 1500 miles. Motul was getting pricey. The Motul seemed like it made more power.Shifting seemed a little smoother too on motul. Bought a case. Ive heard engines adjust to different oils. We'll see how next change goes .

Can’t beat this for quality and value.
