I’ve had this SKYMEE Petalk AI II Dog Camera for two years, and it’s been nothing but a headache. It barely works—the app is a complete disaster, constantly buffering and unreliable. It doesn’t record audio, which defeats the purpose of the two-way feature, and the memory card formatting is so specific that it’s unreadable on any other device. Out of all the times I’ve tried, it’s only shown recorded video three times, and even then, there was no audio.The treat dispenser is just as bad. It only works with very tiny treats, but even then, the mechanism tends to crush them or get jammed. When it’s not clogging, it randomly spits out broken pieces. I had the previous version of this camera, which I returned because it stopped working quickly, but this one hasn’t been any better. I don’t recommend this brand at all—save your money and look elsewhere. I would give zero stars but I can’t.

Large device makes it hard to knock over. Smart phone app makes viewing video and dispensing treats easy. Seems well built.

My dog Henry had severe separation anxiety and this device not only allowed me to watch him but dispensed treats automatically or manually. However the most helpful aspect for me was speaking to him which seemed to stop him if he was destroying something and I could tell him to go to bed instead. The device was good enough quality where he could recognize my voice and obey my commands. It comforted him. The treats kept him busy. His separation anxiety has eased over the years but now his health is in decline and this camera allows me to keep an eye on him while I’m at work so I can have peace of mind. It also can work as a security camera. I think it’s a good quality product. It was easy to set up and I would recommend this product to anyone. Customer service was also very helpful.

I have a lot of fun remotely feeding my dog when I'm out. This camera is kind of a like a Wyzecam pan + pet feeder. It's a security camera, it rotates, there's 2 way audio (talk to dog), and it shoots out treats. I didn't expect much from a typical China branded company (with all capital letters in their name), but the app is actually pretty good. The interface is easy to understand and use.

If you have pets and you ever leave the house, it’s easy to imagine the troubles they are getting into when you aren’t around. That’s one of the benefits of a good pet camera. The Petalk AI II is so much more than just a camera though. Yes, it’s an HD cam that you can not only pan 180 degrees, switch into night vision mode, and record pics and videos on, it is also a communication device. You can talk to your pet from your phone, through the app, and they can hear you and speak back through the 2-way microphone. Then there’s the part that gets the most fun, you can launch treats around three feet through the air to them. This not only gives them a little something special in the middle of the day, but it gives you a fun game to play when you should be working. Then, when you get home, you can even use the top of the Petalk AI II as a wireless charger for your phone. This isn’t even something it needs, but it is a nice little bonus. Set up for the camera was simple, it took maybe 2 minutes and I was up and running, shooting off little treats and panning around the room. Every pet owner should have a good pet camera, and Skymee’s Petalk AI II is a great one to have.

I've been running three skymee devices for about 3 weeks, loved them all, but suddenly today the app stopped working. When I looked at the reviews for the app in the app store, tons of people have the same problem, and absolutely zero replies from the company. It has a 1.9 rating in the app store. The worst thing is that in order to contact customer service, you have to use the app, and when you try to send the request, you get the same connection error, so you can't even contact them. If someone from skymee doesn't contact me after this review, I'll be returning the feeder, treat camera, and the owl. What a dissapointment.

Our pups absolutely love this! We set up a schedule to send treats to my girls automatically at specific times while we are usually working we also manually send them at random when we walk through the room just as a little snack. I love being able to check in on my pets and send them a treat when I'm away from home. As soon as I send treats they come running to the treat machine and wait patiently for their snack. Only complaint is the 24/7 recording with a SD card is hard to navigate so we just don't use that feature and the motion detection doesn't work as my other cameras in the house and hard to navigate in the app for both of those things. But its not intended for security use, being able to send my dogs treats and peek in on them this surpasses my expectations on those aspects.
